Ah, I was thinking more in line with Chrono Trigger where you have to play a substantial part of the game or its entirety to get most of the endings. What you describe sounds a lot more manageable.

Other than now knowing that there are 26 endings, my sole information about Neir is that people really really really (really) really like the character designs and it's basically sexy anime girl Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance.

well, i tried! yeah, supers are something you only want to use when getting multiple good traits off a donor or taking bad ones off a recipient. there's a real long stretch before you get a reuseable one, so your supply is a major limiting factor in creating high-level gear.

the chrysler building is a pretty major undertaking, and it's probably best done gradually on the side over the course of multiple replays, because it's just too overwhelming to do in one pass. even discounting the time investment, or how tedious it gets spending so much time in the same dungeon, there are some really significant difficulty spikes as you go through - despite forewarning from a more experienced friend, i still wound up over my head and got killed by one of the later bosses, losing ten whole floors worth of progress.

i have officially spent Too Much Time playing parasite eve, but the only advice i'll offer unprompted is to store your super tools. PE1 is heavily geared towards multiple replays; if you burn a super tool on something minor just because it's the end of a playthrough, trust me that you will regret it next round.

PE2 got a lot of hate back in the day, but it's still an excellent action game in its own right. it's largely the product of the capcom folks that left after mikami put his foot down on rebooting RE1.5, so it carries on a lot of classic resident evil's design sensibilities. it's pretty wonky as a PE sequel, but as an RE gaiden it's something special!

When you foind Wren, put him in the front of the line, for he has the best physical defense. (But he's no good against tech/magic attacks.)

Incidentally, it's recommended you give Rune two shields. He does pretty well with his magic and techs, even something like Flaeli, which is weak at this point, but has plenty of uses.

Have you played Klonoa: Door to Phantomile on PSX? It's about the cutest shit ever and gives me a sort-of Mischief Makers vibe in its aesthetics and some gameplay elements. I'm only a couple stages in but I can already tell this is one of the best 2.5D sidescrollers out there. Dunno where the game's been all my life.

As I said, I like video games. My family played games since before I was born, so I grew up with them in the household. I first played games before I could even talk. I remember playing systems like the NES, SNES, Colecovision, and Atari 2600 before I entered kindergarten. Even though I was born rather late (the N64 launched when I was in first grade), because of this I've had an appreciation for older games from an early age. I continue to play older games, as well as newer games, to this day.

I first made my backloggery as a way to keep track of my game collection. I was mainly using IGN's collection feature at the time, but since IGN broke theirs, I've switched over to using my backloggery as my main way to keep track of what games I own. I do also keep track of what games I'm playing/have beaten, but I don't worry too much about beating everything I own. If I get a game I don't like enough, I won't force myself to try and beat it. I might come back to it later on if I feel so inclined, but I don't try to beat every game I own just for the sake of beating them. That doesn't seem like very much fun to me.

I collect games as well as play them, which is the main reason why I don't just sell or trade in games I dislike. Some of the games in my backloggery I may never even get around to playing, which is fine by me. I like the feeling of having a wide variety of games to choose from, as well as having a personal museum of sorts. It may seem silly, but it works for me.
