I totally understand. Life with kids can get way too crazy. I don't want to think about my daughter heading to college, but we are only a couple of years out and I am not ready at all. Any tips for mentally preparing myself? haha. I imagine that is interesting. Most schools only do a partial scholarship for baseball, correct? Any little bit helps. My kids are not athletic at all (chips off the old block), so I am hoping for scholarships for academics and/or music.

Your body doesn't need sleep. Play The Witcher 3 instead. That Blood Baron questline can end in a couple of different ways. You'll have to let me know which one you get. Lighting enemies on fire with Igni changed the game for me. Some encounters will still be difficult, but it trivializes many others. Death March is a bit unique in that no matter how intimidating the foe, as long as it was 1-v-1 I always felt like I could handle things, but no matter how weak the enemies, if they ganged up on me it was time to run away and regroup. The hardest battle in the main game for me was fighting the wraiths in one of the early baron quests (the hardest overall was one particular battle in Hearts of Stone in which I had to lower the difficulty in order to progress). I totally agree with what your wrote about time commitment and enjoying yourself. As much as I like new experiences, pretty sure I will get the Skyrim remaster as I would rather replay it than play just about anything else for the first time. Logic dictates that we should try to maximize the amount of fun we have in the time we have to play, yet as illogical creatures it is so easy to ignore or forget this.

It certainly isn't easy to find time to play, that is for sure. My kids aren't into sports, but we always have some kind of concert or band competition to go to. My time to play hasn't changed much though as I still stay up late and squeeze in what handheld time I can during the day. I'm not sure that is weird at all. I think it is actually pretty normal to jump around and that my single game focus is pretty abnormal. That is exactly right - as long as you are having fun, don't give it too much thought and keep playing what sounds good.

You better not give up on Persona. haha. You have until February until Persona 5 releases so plan accordingly. Don't be a stranger!

Long time, no speak. Hope you and yours are doing well. Glad to see you are enjoying The Witcher 3 so much. It is my favorite console game this gen and it isn't even close. Sounds like you are spending some quality time in Novigrad. Have you followed the main quest line in Crow's Perch yet? Easily my favorite in the game. What kind of Geralt are you building? I started out with a fast attack build but respec'ed into magic and then just facerolled everything by setting it on fire (melee was actually quite challenging on Death March difficulty). I know it is a long game, but the Hearts of Stone DLC is also fantastic and highly recommended. I hear Blood and Wine is even better and it is my most wanted game that I haven't purchased yet (plus I'm excited for the Gwent stand-alone game too). Hope the game continues to hold your interest as it did mine.

Hey man! Been a while since I replied to you, apologies about that! Anyway yeah I am having an awesome time with Arkham Knight, as I did with Asylum and City. There is so much to do in Gotham City! Yeah, I noticed that you completed about 75% of Knight. But I am catching up though. haha. How is it going with Fallout 4? Glad to hear that you are hooked on it.

I too tired of the shooting in Golden Abyss over time. It really is a lot like the first Uncharted, which I thought was significantly inferior to the 2nd and 3rd. You and I are quite alike when it comes to how we feel about shooters in general. The only recent exceptions for me (off the top of my head) are Far Cry 3 and 4.

I felt the exact same way when I first played P4. The core of the game is a well crafted and polished JRPG that would have had me hooked by itself, but the social link aspects really put the game on another level for me. They definitely stay strong throughout. Many of the characters that aren't even part of the main story but are just available as links around Inaba are better developed than many games main cast. The story really does make you feel like you are part of the investigation team, not revealing more to the player than what the characters know, just like a good murder mystery should. Golden makes getting powerful persona through fusion a lot easier. For your first run through, try to fuse a persona with all 4 ma- spells (the base level of the all-elemental attack). It will serve you well for all-out attacks. To accomplish this, just fuse two personae with two different ma-spells together and make sure that those skills transfer over. Another skill to look out for on a persona is the invigorate skill which will allow you to regen a small amount of SP every round in combat. I know what you mean about the soundtrack. The CD that came with the PS4 version of the game didn't leave my car for two years. haha.

I know exactly where you are in the story line. Just a couple of quick tips if you want to max your social link time - try to do dungeons on rainy days when few links are available. Have a persona equipped of the arcana matching the person you are spending time with (so if you are going to chill with Yosuke, have a magician arcana persona like Pixie). While you will benefit most from maxing links with your party members, they are available more than others around town (classmates specifically) so you may want to spend some time with a few of them here and there just for fun. Anytime you are ready, I am willing to talk P4! haha.

So excited to see you playing Persona 4! I hope you stick with it for a while anyway, even though it is quite long. I know you can do it as evidenced by Inquisition. haha. Looking forward to hearing about your initial impressions. I am always up for indepth Persona talk. Merry Christmas to you and yours and hope Santa is good to you.

Mordor was a lot of fun, like a combination of Arkham combat with Assassin's Creed stealth and platforming. Wish the story was better, but it isn't bad. The atmosphere is all Lord of the Rings which was right up my alley and the nemesis system really is something that I haven't seen done before. With the similarities between combat systems, if you are tiring at all of brawling in Arkham you may want to wait a game or two before Mordor. I remember doing the exact same thing with my son. I played way more Lego games than I wanted to back in the day. haha. At least you are having fun with them. They got old for me really quick.

Hope you had fun trick or treating on Saturday. Talk to you soon.

While I seem to be able to play a few low priority side games at a time, I try to stick with only one, higher priority main game until I finish it. Transistor is that game right now and after that, I'm not sure what I'll play. Maybe the Last of Us DLC or Assassin's Creed: Unity (despite the low reviews, the AC formula just clicks with me so I have to at least give it a shot).

Transistor seems somewhat impenetrable at first as there is a lot of confusion regarding the combat and what is going on with the world and the story. The more you play though, the more things start to click and now I absolutely love the combat and while I can't say I know each and every detail, I think I have a decent handle on exactly what the story was about.

Atlus is still saying that Persona 5 will be out this year, but I too am skeptical. It and Fallout 4 are easily my most anticipated games and I'm not sure I will need anything else in 2015, though there are certainly a bunch of other titles I'm interested in such as Divinity: Original Sin for consoles, Steins;Gate, Assassin's Creed: Syndicate, Xenoblade Chronicles X, etc. Besides, with my slower pace this year I've got tons of high priority titles in the backlog, with The Witcher 3, Bloodborne, Shadows of Mordor, Far Cry 4, and Batman being the biggest priorities.

Keep me up to date on your progress in Fallout 3! Do you have any interest in New Vegas. My first time through I had a great time, but it wasn't until I played the version with all of the DLC that I began to truly appreciate it.
