Confused: Playing 10+ games at once
Yeah, I hate the localization that Aksys does. It's always half-assed. They even trashed Night of the Sickle Weasel and called it something else and I was waiting to play that one.

Minion of Bak'laag: 100+ unfinished games
Cursed: 10+ new games in a row
Hey Kimiko! Thanks for telling me about this place! It's a bit nicer (and more detailed) than my boring Excel spreadsheet

Legendary Weapon: 5 or fewer unfinished games
Consider Yourself a Hero: Majority of games are beaten
Sleep: Not playing anything
Yeah, first time through EO1. I really think I should have just started on classic mode. I wanted to give story mode a shot since that is what this remake is centered on, but it turns out story mode is pretty bare bones and rather just adds more party interaction than anything. I'm also pretty sure story mode spoiled the classic story within the first 5 minutes, flat out saying Raquna is from Canada. The story mode also seems to take away the joy of party customization and class swapping as the character's stats remain the same as their base class rather than adjusting to the re-class.

As for the grimoire stones, it's not so much how they work that bothers me so much as the cumbersome nature of mixing/fusing the slots and just overall having an abundant amount of them that I have to keep organized (or spend time throwing away).

Admittedly, as far as the combat system goes for ALL EO games, I'm not really a fan of:
1) How bloated the skill trees are for classes.
2) How short buffs/debuffs last. You have such a short window between stacking buffs and debuffs on an enemy that you usually only have time to do one attack before having to start over, during which time you could have just done 3-4 unbuffed attacks to equal the same amount of damage.

Anyway, that seems like far more ranting than necessary for a game that I have still enjoyed up to this point. I think my problem was just starting on story mode, and playing it so soon after playing IV (and Persona 3 left me pretty JRPG fatigued). After I grind out Theatrhythm Curtain Call for a couple months I'm sure I'll be excited to jump back into EO1 in classic mode to help get me through the winter months.

How was Mimana Iyar Chronicle? I was tempted tog rab it but the animation quality in the battles seemed kinda cheap looking.

Master of Unlocking: Majority of games are completed
Treasure Hunter: 1000+ games
On Fire: 3 beat or complete in a row
Oh hey, it's Iria.

I apologize for having nothing constructive to say, I just get excited when I see an anime icon that's actually old enough for me to recognize.

Consider Yourself a Hero: Majority of games are beaten
Thank you for the add back!

It sounds like I'll be starting with flOw, since it's the "simpler" of the two. I wouldn't want to ruin a possibly good thing by starting with the sweeter of the two. It will have to wait though now... I'll be getting Deception IV to play on my Vita in late March for my next BL addition! :knockonwood:

I will have to check one of the two out then. They've definitely sparked my curiosity! Which one would you recommend starting with?

I'm sure Journey will arrive for Vita too, if the other two have. Then again, I s'pose you never know when it comes to PSN and handhelds. Sony likes to neglect their handhelds it seems...

Haha! Odell Lake was one of my favorite games to play while in Elementary School, along with Number Munchers and Oregon Trail. There was another but I can't remember the name of it... You were in a mine and had to figure out how to get the mine cart to the next room using either pullies, ramps, or some other thing.

While looking at my 3DS friends list, I noticed that I have you added but the add hasn't been returned. So if you'd like, feel free to add me. I may have forgotten to tell you that I added you... Spent some time mass-adding all friended BLers with their code displayed one day.
