Minion of Bak'laag: 100+ unfinished games
Consider Yourself a Hero: Majority of games are beaten
Poisoned: 3+ new games in a row
I still remember my first experience with endless eight. I was talking with a friend about the show, and I told him I haven't finished it yet. He told me endless eight was bad, and I'll "understand why" when I got there. I started the first ep no sweat. Put it aside for a few days, picked it up on ep 2. "Didn't I already watch this?" I asked myself. I watched the whole thing, a little confused, but nonetheless pretty painless. Then, I watched ep. 3. Immediately, I dropped my head back, sighed, and said "oh so this is how it's gonna be." I then proceeded to watch the whole thing. It's important for a plot point in Disappearance, so it's quite clever. It's just a slog to watch.

Yuki was my favorite, actually. Then, I watched disappearance, and fell in love with Asakura. Her character was fleshed out much more in the movie, and it makes her one of my favorite anime characters in general. Yuki is second, and my third favorite would probably be Kyon. I didn't like him much growing up but I've grown an appreciation for him lately.

Well I'm glad I could tip you off too the LNs and Manga then! It's always frustrating when content gets cut from the anime version, but that's just the nature of the industry i suppose.

Haha awesome. Paper Mario is an old time favorite of mine, from when I was a kid. Still, to this day, trying to beat the pit of 100 trials! As for Yume Nikki, I tried it in 2013 or so, but barely attempted it. I'm so glad I decided to give it a solid run this time around. It's a truly breathtaking experience.

I haven't read the VNs yet, but I want to. I've heard they are the superior version. I haven't finished the anime either, though I like it quite a bit. It was one of the shows that helped me appreciate anime more broadly, alongside Lucky Star. Soul Eater was alright, I couldn't really get into it. I'm open to giving it another shot though, as it has been quite a while since I've watched it.

You are in for a treat with disappearance my friend! It's truly the peak of the series, and an amazing movie in general, if you ask me. I've only read the first book of Yuki chan, and I have yet to watch the anime, but from what I understand it's more of a slice of life / ecchi series. There's no wacky magic as far as I know, but there's a good reason for it. It'll be less jarring if you watch Dissaperance of Haruhi first, if you do intend to watch it.

Yeah, there's actually some pretty heavy plot points that were left out of the anime. I had a solid mind boggling when a friend of mine spoiled it for me years back. I've just been lazy, and haven't been bothered to read it. Same thing with the light novels. Some day, some day.

Got any recommendations? I've been slacking when it comes to watching anime lately. I've been infrequently watching My Hero Academia with friends, but that's about it. I'd recommend anything in my favorites on MAL ( [Link] ), but YGO may be an acquired taste if you didn't grow up with it.

Haha nice. I'm planning on rewatching it soon! The holidays made me think of Disappearance, so I got nostalgic for it. I want to read the manga one of these days, too, because apparently, the story continues further.
