The city kingdom isn't very tedious; it's an example of a large level done right. The one awful large level was the desert. I don't think I'm exaggerating when I say that half of the kingdom was completely empty. I guess they caught that classic desert feeling perfectly, at least.
I don't remember any particularoy different level in the lunch kingdom (I'm assuming that's the one you're talking about, and not the castle). I do remember one Moon that I couldn't stand, though - as a Podoboo, you have to dive from nearly the peak of the mountain to an extremely small lava pool near the city. It took me quite a while just to get used to the Podoboo's physics. It didn't help that it takes 40 seconds just to get back to the diving spot.

There's a few levels in 3D World that encourage exploring to find some Green Stars. While it's true that most levels are linear, not all of them are - just like Odyssey has a few linear platforming sections, which are quite similar to 3D World's levels. They're not completely unrelated games IMO.
Saw you talking about the green Broodal on Sherwood's page. Here's a tip to fight him: don't rush him down to break all of his hats, but instead, make him trigger the attack where he spins on the floor. As soon as you see him start it, jump away to dodge it, and wait until the attack finishes. He'll stand still for a while, and you can safely jump on his back to hit him. This will help a LOT for the second and third hits.

I think I know which flow seed you are talking about. I knew about Yoshi, but the ability to play as him as a capture ability was a delight and something I wanted you to find out first hand.

Thank you, I appreciate that. Glad to hear that your grandmother is doing well physically.

Yes, that is true.

Edit: Am I missing something about multiple colored yoshis in Mario Odyssey? Or is your avatar the result of your editing skills.

Happy to see you're having the best time with Odyssey's endgame than anyone else I know. (Though fighting the Broodals again in a row in the Dark Side can piss right off since it's really nothing more than useless padding) But other than that, I'm curious to know how you think Yoshi controls. Me and Koopa_Paratroopa were just talking about how a potential 3D Yoshi game using Odyssey's Yoshi mechanics could possibly work and seeing how you're basically unrivalled in regards to loving the Yosh, are there any thoughts you could contribute?

Looks like you reached the best part of Odyssey! Yoshi aside, the Mushroom Kingdom is my favorite kingdom in the game, because it's a great place to explore that doesn't feel either too small or too empty (about half of the kingdoms) and has a lot of fun Moons - the only one I don't like at all is the "gather 6 sheep" Moon.
BTW, what did you think about Odyssey? Is it your favorite 3D Mario game so far? I think it's worse than 3D World and Galaxy 2.

You beat Odyssey! Congratulations! You have no idea how much I wanted to tell you about Yoshi when I finished it last year, but I did not want to spoil you.

Odyssey helped me get through my terrible December.

Hehe thank you~! It'd been awhile since I did a banner with the games I was playing in it and I wanted to do one again, hehe 'u'

There's actually about three or so other stages where Yoshi appears later, keep playing...one of those might have scenery you like better >w< (just little sub-stages, not any other whole kingdom)

Thanks for the backloggiversary wishes too~!

New avatar and banner!
I couldn't help but gaze at Yoshi's appearance in Odyssey yesterday and use the heck out of Snapshot Mode after I finished the story. Really, basically the first thing I did after kicking Bowser's butt (and taking part in a grande finale I absolutely was NOT expecting) was to make my way to the roof of Peach's Castle, open that Yoshi egg and fling Cappy at the cutest dino to ever exist. What a wonderful game, what a wonderful chapter. And now, part of that chapter is a new temporary theme on my Yoshiloggery!
Once a Yoshi fan, always a Yoshi fan!
