GOG
Ziggurat
Finally beat on "Normal". Had 3/200 HP left at end and got top of leaderboard for that pathetic performance. Great game but that final boss is nuts.

A mediocre Painkiller clone set in a traditional rogue-like game with a Heretic setting. Somehow more than the sum of its parts. HIGHLY ADDICTIVE. -- Unlike most FPS, there will be times when you just can't avoid damage and will have to rely on your build to get you through. That's part of the game's Rogue-like nature coming through.
Steam
Might & Magic Heroes VI
Completed "Shades of Darkness" expansion. -- That completes HoMM VI and all its addons and expansions for me. Just in time for HoMM VII next month! :O

Played through all campaigns in base game, "Pirates of the Savage Sea" DLC Campaign, "Danse Macabre" DLC Campaign, and the "Shades of Darkness" expansion. -- Not as good as HoMM V but pretty fun. Very easy, I never died a single time (main storyline campaign) on the default difficulty. Streamlining hurt game depth I think. -- Trivia: Strangely was able to pick up Shades of Darkness in a Steam Sale a month or two before it was released.
Steam
Killing Floor 2 - early access
Plays like a complete game but with only 3 maps and 4 perks so far. So far so good but still needs core 'sharpshooter' perk.

DOS
System Shock
Defeated boss and won game on stock difficulty. -- amazing fps. I came into it thinking it was overrated but was totally wrong. :D

SS's HUDs are pretty neat. Very detailed. The game's general movement controls on the other hand are awful. :/ -- I love the short voiced email and logs with pictures. To my surprise, they're way better than text only ones I've seen in other games. They give life to the world like a good cutscene or scripted sequence but don't hurt the gameplay or immersion by forcing the level design onto a rail or making you "do shit you wouldn't do" for story reasons.
DOS
The Ultimate DOOM
completed first playthrough on Ultra-Violence difficulty. -- episode 4 is not as tough as I thought. first map is nuts though.

I have this game on PC-CDROM and Steam. -- Doom's demo was so generous I only played that back in the day. DUMB! -- finally beat full game for first time in 2015 with a dos retrobox using my pentium 100 CPU from 1995!
DOS
DOOM II: Hell on Earth
completed first playthrough on Ultra-Violence difficulty. -- original DOS game feels surprisingly modern with WASD and vert mouse movement disabled.

I have this on PC-CDROM and Steam. -- I wasn't interested in this back in the day because I thought it was "just more DOOM". That was dumb. -- beat for first time in 2015 with a dos retrobox using my pentium 100 CPU from 1995!
