How is New Gundam Breaker? I haven't heard good things.

There isn't a real pressing reason that I grabbed them. They were just on sale and they were all backwards compatible, which was the most important factor in me grabbing them. I love how Xbox made that such an important feature with their console. Cheap digital games also allow me to keep certain copies of games that I own physically unopened. I honestly don't ever plan on selling anything from my collection, but it's nice to know that I have that option. Sealed retro video games are often rather expensive to collect.

Hey....you never know. You may find the games that go with those cases and manuals later like I did with General Chaos. Cases and manuals are definitely an asset.

I have been looking for a General Chaos cart for years. Oddly enough, I already had the case and manual......which I obtained from a friend of mine that used to own a store.

Coming across an estate sale, I was curious and decided to check it out. I was lucky to finding that big sturdy desk so that my father can replace the small table he was using as a computer desk for an actual one (and this one has four drawers and a hutch with shelving). I was surprised to find a taped up box with a paper sheet reading "Game Stuff" taped on it. I expected it to be like board games, card games, random non-electronic gaming things. So color em amazed to finding actual video games in it once I decided to buy it along with the desk and hutch (which had cost $25) and after getting the box home and the desk to my dad and step-mom's house.

Is Tribes of Midgard worth it if you are playing by yourself? How bad is the monetization?

Awesome that you have a complete set! I'm about 20 away from a full set, but I haven't really hunted it in years, so some of the remaining ones are pretty spendy and I probably wont get them all soon. I also love the way you post up what you paid in the comments, I always forget what I paid so that helps a ton.... might borrow that :P

I found this Arcade Fun handheld at Wal-Mart by the registers for like $10.00 -- not the greatest but it's not too bad. also picked up Peach and Bowser toys from the new "Mario" movie.

Makes absolute sense. Having to jump thought so many steps just to play a PC game is unreasonable. I would have the same complains about EPIC then. I have only a few games at the EPIC store and only my son has played them and he hasn't complained about anything yet.

Yeah, and I was already pretty burnt out on the game. It was so simple I didn't mind just watching the final boss on youtube and counting it as completed. It's a cute little waste of time, but there's so many actual ARPGs to play instead.

What's your beef with Epic games if you don't mind me asking?

No actually not any real reason. I think that I didn't get into the habit of buying games off steam because I was buying physical copies of my PC games. I got sucked into GOG because of their dedication to old games. I bought so many games (through their sales) that I owned physical copies of but no longer had the old PC to run them yet a bunch of the games have been programmed through emulation to work on more-current PC's. I like steam but generally don't buy from it as GOG has a lot of the same new and upcoming games.

To be fair, my wife very much enjoys the freshwater additions, so maybe it's just a matter of taste. And I do like some of the new tanks and other non-fish things that the DLC adds.

The Architect's Collection DLC, on the other hand, is really good. Basically just adds stuff to the base game that makes it feel more complete.

My issue with Freshwater Frenzy is that the new fish overcomplicate the core gameplay.

I love the tropical and coldwater fish because of how flexible they are. You can put most of them in basically any size tank that will physically accommodate them, decorate the tank however you like, and put them together with a variety of different fish.

But the new freshwater fish—even the tiniest ones—have twice as many care requirements, many of them annoying. They are incredibly demanding about plants, rocks, and caves. You're constantly forced to choose between small tanks with barely any fish in them, and gigantic tanks that have room for all the decorations you need. Some fish are "Plant Destroyers", so you need even more plants than technically required so your decorations don't get eaten.

On top of that, the fish demand different TYPES of plants now, plus a new object called bogwood, and many of them are "Explorer" types that need as many as 7 different kinds of tank decorations to be happy. Other fish require a 2x2 or 3x3 patch that's completely free of decorations. Consequently, every tank becomes an ugly puzzle of what will physically fit into the space; you can't really get creatively artistic because there's just no room.

Also, you can't use protein skimmers or UV filters, so maintaining water quality is so much harder.

All of this means that you can't really mix and match fish like you can in the base game. There are very specific fish that work together in very specific tanks in very specific quantities, and that sucks the fun out of the game for me. But the worst part is the new breeding system.

If certain conditions are met, freshwater fish will breed, creating spawn in the tank that typically need to be relocated into a holding tank in order to have a chance at survival. And breeding certain fish can produce different color/pattern variants, which can breed with each other for further variation. And you're required to do this to beat some of the scenarios. I'm here to put fish in boxes; not to manage their love lives.

I would've been fine with an expansion (preferably that you could toggle on and off in sandbox mode) to allow breeding for ALL fish, but the fact that it's a freshwater exclusive throws off the whole experience when working with tropical and coldwater as well. I already tend to avoid some of the freshwater fish in sandbox mode due to their requirements, but the breeding mechanic makes me not want to use them at all.

Thanks Waffle! I deliver mail to a local Pawn shop and they often have gaming stuff come in. There was a pile of NES games there and I found the two games at that shop. The Ultima game was the highlight of course

Monster Crown, there is a part of me that wants it to be a Pokémon clone with GBC graphics but I don’t think that’s what it is. As an old Pokémon fan there is a lot to like and is scratching that itch only generation one and five really had. Unfortunately I am at a point where I feel stuck and may not come back to it in the near future.

Ok thanks man. I do plan on playing them as the show is hilarious.
