Celceta took me a little less than 20 hours to beat and get 100% on the map. If you liked it I would recommend 7 for the PSP which had similar gameplay. Oath in Felghana and Origins are two of my other favorites. I wish the Bravely Default demo supported more than one save so I could play it again without deleting my old save haha. Less than a month for the full game to come out!

Nice! I finished the demo without the gear from the village since I was waiting 10 hours for the boulder to be destroyed haha. I saw you're playing Celceta too! That game was one of the reasons why I bought a Vita. It was really good. Really short but I guess that's to be expected with a Ys game. The music did not disappoint like usual. Have you played any of the others?

I'm glad that you're playing the demo too! It's really good and I'm super excited for the full game. The level cap in the demo is 20 and the jobs are capped at level 4. The buildings in the village are capped at level 3 and there's a trick to get more villagers without streetpass if you haven't gotten your second villager yet.

I wouldn't beat yourself up too bad about resorting to the DLC, especially when it means that you reach the real core of the game sooner since the game really kicks off once you get to Tokyo. Plus, level 30 is a perfect level to grind yourself up to since the enemies will catch up to that level pretty quickly if you don't use the dlc again, but at the same time the entire rest of the game will be a much more satisfying difficulty level now that you've got access to most of the major abilities.

Estoma Sword, for example, is going to save you from wading through at least a couple hours of low-level fights that don't even give decent xp in the world map and old dungeons, and having access to all of the elements will make boss fights much more doable.

Project X Zone is still taking forever, but it's been doing a good job of making every chapter at least somewhat unique and interesting. Though I do worry if the rest of the game is going to feel like it's dragging on now that I think I've got all the characters and most attacks.

Yeah, I'm starting to realize some of Project X Zone's shortcomings myself now that I'm farther along in the game. Primarily that having tons and tons of characters naturally makes each battle take forever since the developers decided to go quantity over quality with the enemies. I haven't met a normal enemy yet that hasn't been 1-shottable, and the bosses pose no real threat but have such huge HP bars that they can take longer than the dozens of fodder to beat down when they decide to toss in 3+ of 'em in 1 battle. I'm mostly satisfied with the writing though. I wasn't expecting a great novel, but seems like they managed to keep everyone in-character and throw some humor in here and there. I like it and look forward to beating it but for now SMT IV's stolen my attention from Project X Zone and Time and Eternity.

Speaking of which, I'm loving SMT IV's monster system, and capturing/fusing monsters has pretty much become my favorite part of the game. I died a few times before I finally managed to capture a decent party, but since then everything became much more manageable now that I've got a dedicated healer and elemental magic on all my teammates + Flynn (got him following the +3 MAG, +1 AGI, +1 Luck each level build).

If you want to speed up your grinding and don't consider it too cheap, I highly recommend the $2 DLC dungeon, I'm already up to level 30 and now trying to decide whether to just go ahead and quick-grind to 99 or keep some difficulty in the game. I'm leaning towards staying level 30, but I wanna see the other demons .

Haha, as for myself, I had to do 3 ungraceful resets already due to getting my protagonist's ass kicked by level 1 demons...

Looks like this will be a grindfest, which I don't mind.

First I saw that you're playing Project X Zone too and thought that was neat to see. Then when I saw Xenogears on your play list I decided, "This person needs to be on my Multitap!" So invite sent, and nice to have ya aboard. Xenogears is probably my favorite PS1 game, though it has been over a decade since I played it so I won't be offended if you don't think it holds up against modern-day games.

It's also cool to see someone else that bothered to pick up Time and Eternity despite the mediocre review scores (though I haven't actually read the reviews to find out why it's supposedly bad). I'm still undecided on what to play first though, SMT IV or T&E.

Good to see someone else sees games as investments which will grow in price in the not-too-far future. :P Especially NISA and ATLUS games, they get rare as time goes on since they deal with niche games mostly.

Stupid fun is good~ Haha, it relieves the stress you get from working too hard on your day job.

As for SMT4, I'm cutting myself off from information regarding the game itself (no videos, wiki, anything) as I try to keep myself surprised when the game itself is released. (One more day! RAWR)
