Wasn't much a fan, honestly. Not huge on the writing style nor did I care for the exploration. It was just really boring imo.

Luigi's Mansion still holds up pretty well. I enjoyed it quite a bit the very first time I played it a launch and still had some fun playing it again. The controls still take some getting used to though. It's a pretty short game (beat it in less than 6 hours), but its still fun.

Looks good, but the cropping is poor - when they apply "bars" on the screen (cinematics) the game is still visible around the edges. Otherwise, I quite like it.

It was very similar to the DS version, with the exception of the controls being more accurate due to being button controlled rather than touch (thankfully there is no motion either). There are a few of the levels that really shine and a few that make you want to pull your hair out. I play a lot of rhythm games, and the Tengoku/Heaven series is sort of low on my list. If you enjoyed the DS version, however, you can't go wrong with the Wii version, especially with how cheap it can be found these days.

Thank you very much!! I've had it for 18 months now, but I still like getting praises for it!

I used a program which the name escapes me right now. It's a simple GIF animator where you can produce your animated .gif frame by frame!

It's all good, but you can imagine how much time it took me to produce a gif that long! I think I spent around 15h doing it. As to make it work here, I uploaded it on a server and pointed at the URL in my profile, just like any normal image!

Cheers!

Guitar Hero on DS was atrocious. I could only play one song a day. The second game, I only played a few tracks. Then there was a third? And Band Hero. My goodness.
Top games on 3DS (random order): Paper Mario - Sticker Star, Pushmo, Mario 3D Land (!!), Tales of the Abyss, Theatrhythm - Final Fantasy. That's only from games I own. Fire Emblem - Awakening is the best of the series, Zelda OoT port (but, meh, it's a port), Luigi's Mansion apparently turned out quite decent, Etrian Odyssey IV, RE Revelations, SMT Devil Survivor Overclocked.
It's nowhere near the libraries of other top systems, but it's getting there. (don't forget the Virtual Console).

EDIT: oh right, Monster Hunter and the new Castlevania title.

I've grown to like Kid Icarus - Uprising, but it was quite disappointing in the beginning and the controls were really uncomfortable to me. I guess at its time, it was indeed one of the better 3DS titles, but right now I wouldn't put it in the top 10. Don't let that stop you, though.

It's hard for me to fairly say if Sonic Adventure 2 has held up well, as I played the Gamecube version to death when I was younger, so I could just be blinded by nostalgia. Personally though, I think it's held up alright, especially when compared to Adventure 1, and if you liked it when you first played it, I think you'd enjoy it a second time. Controls and camera aren't great, but they're far from some of the worst.

There are a few things worth noting. The most annoying parts of the game come from the Knuckles and Rogue levels which involve you searching large levels for emerald shards. The levels start out okay, but they get very large very quickly, and can take a long time if you're having trouble finding one of the shards, and bring an otherwise fast-paced action game to a pretty sudden halt. The game is certainly one of the harder Sonic games, but with some patience and practice you should be able to get through it fairly easily. It's also much darker than the other Sonic games, even darker than Shadow the Hedgehog at some points. I'm personally not too bothered by that, but I know a lot of people don't like Sonic games to be dark when they center around a cartoon blue hedgehog fighting a fat mustached man, so I thought I should bring it up anyway. Oh, and the dialogue is still really cheesy, but that's not really a surprise from Sonic Team!

Anyway, despite all I said, I'd still recommend it if you enjoyed it in the past, because there's still a lot to like here. It's a fun, fast-paced action platformer with some really creative levels and a ton of replay value. While I don't think it's objectively the best Sonic game, it's my personal favorite in the series.

(Sorry for rambling on a bit there! )

Frankly, I think it's the best game in the series so far, but that may have to do with my relative disappointment with the original for how little it brought to the table over System Shock 2. The story is engrossing and incredibly well-written, the soundtrack is excellent and fitting, the bond between the player and Elizabeth is artfully crafted, the mechanics are polished and responsive to a degree that puts the last 2 games to shame, it's beautifully paced, with a perfect juxtaposition of combat and exploration, and Columbia is one of the most gorgeous, fully realized game-worlds ever made. In short, it's one of the most impressive games I have ever played and it's a leading example of why videogames are art.
