★★★★★ Simple gameplay makes it easy to pick up and hard to put down, with the charm of SNES-era Enix. Time is split between combing colourful levels for slimes and having fun tank battles with stubborn foes. Hilariously well written with music that fits perfectly, Square-Enix proves how short-sighted it is by only translating Slime Morimori 2. This is one of those games that you regret not buying during its release to show support.

Thanks for sharing, looks right up my alley: challenges, shortcomings and all. I'm very close to finishing the third, I believe.

Hmm... Sounds challenging.. A challenge I'd like to accept! June 12th is the first game's 30th birthday, so that may be a great time to begin.

I dabbled in the second game for a couple of minutes after patching it, just to see if it worked okay. It did feel more traditional, I liked that. They both sound like games of patience and dedication, sounds something right up my alley too. Thanks for the heads-up on both, that's information that'll definitely come in handy when I sit down with 'em.

If you'd like to link me the vids go ahead! I can check 'em out.

LOL it's all good, I don't mind if you post from your emu account.

That's alright that it won't let you follow, I'll be on in a couple of hours, most likely going to continue that tough SMW hack I've been working on the last few weeks. I appreciate you coming regardless!

I played a tiny bit of the first Heracles, a little more of the second, but I'm more familiar with the third. Now that there's finally a translation of IV, I'd like to get to that sometime, but I may play through the Famicom versions before getting there. We shall see. Thanks for watching the vid, too! Glad I could help bring more interest to playing through them.

Esper Dream is really good, it gets progressively harder to the point you're like "wtf is this shit" but a little grinding and you'll overcome that pretty fast. I think I'm nearing the end. I played a little of ED2 a few years ago and, from what I remember, it was much better. But ED1 is still pretty enjoyable.
