I just beaten Spirit Tracks and well, it was a weird experience lol. Overall the core gameplay is waaaaaaaaay better than Phantom Hourglass (and it's got a stronger identity being its own game). It's the most animu Zelda game to date, too, which can be a bit cringey in some dialogue options but considering how Zelda plots are boring as all hell usually, that's not too terrible.

The problem is when the game fucks up, it fucks up BIG time lol. The mic flute shit is horrible and you have to use it in surprisingly complex ways later on despite the mic detection being terrible on a DS/3DS. The final boss' first two phases are some of the worst examples of touch controls in either game too.

So yeah, puzzlewise and contentwise it's way better than PH (also no fucking ocean king temple dungeon!!) but its gimmicky shit can get more grating than PH. Still worth a play since it's so short !

How am I liking Tales of Zestiria so far? Umm... I'm only at the first town (Ladylake) and it still feels like I'm in tutorial mode. And I started that save file months ago

I'm sure the motivation to play that game will come back to me someday. Instead I bought a PlayStation VR for my PS4. And that's fun! I considered a HTC Vive but,
1) my computer is alright but not on the level a VR headset requires it to be
2) after tax it's almost $1300CAD

I'd like to play through Tales of Zestiria first before going through Tales of Berseria. Well, maybe. We'll see how far I get in Zestiria first before possibly calling it quits.

I did play the demo for Berseria, though. And my god. Normally I'm tolerant towards annoying animal mascots in JRPGs but how can you like Bienfu. He sounds like Toad

That's a much more detailed response than I anticipated. But I read and understood all of it. So, hm...It looks like I have The Sims 2 Ultimate Edition, or The Sims 3 regular edition but with the Nightlife expanion. Well. It never hurts to try both and see which I like more

By the way, you sure it's OK to incite drama between your Sims? Being cheated on while having a baby at the hospital -- and that's an incredibly peculiar and fucked up situation to be in -- seems like fair grounds to have a divorce

Would you say that The Sims 3 experience is exponentially better with a beefier computer, or does the game still not run smoothly regardless? The one thing I remember most about The Sims 3 is how long the loading times were...

I think I have The Sims 2 and all of its expansions because it was made free on Origin one day. I have The Sims 3 but only the base game and I'm not sure if I'm hardcore enough to invest in that game's expansion packs? Sims is a lot better with more content. But I wonder which game is the definitive experience, 2 or 3? Or 4? Is there a best Sims game, or is it all a matter of preference?

You've convinced me with the Paper Mario comparison. Even if they end up nothing alike, I've always enjoyed Paper Mario for its charm and I think I can see that quality in Fantasy Life. I'll just wait until I unlock the "no weeds can grow in my town ever" rule in Animal Crossing then I can put that on the shelf for a while

Both Vesperia's and Xillia's third acts jumped off a cliff so this doesn't really surprise me anymore. But I also have low expectations for Zestiria so I can't be disappointed that much

I think they stopped the "mentioning the exact number of days since you were gone" thing in New Leaf because it was so creepy, ahaha...

As for how I got back into playing Animal Crossing, it's because my friend got me a $25 Amazon gift card for Christmas. And you know how gift cards aren't real money, right? /s
So you use a gift card to buy something that you want but wouldn't normally spend your own money on, right? Well, I saw that the 3-pack Animal Crossing Amiibo set (K.K. Slider and the two alpacas) were on sale and I bought that. But then one thing led to another...

Maybe after my Animal Crossing binge then I might try Fantasy Life..

It makes me sad to hear that you think Tales of Xillia is hot garbage, 'cause I liked it and its sequel quite a lot... (and I was surprised to hear that a lot of other people didn't like Xillia either )

I also bought Zestiria for about $12!...'cept I never got past the first hour

I also hope Zestiria is good?

nah, what you said is also right. there's different moments in the show (and movie) where they do the "diglett dig!" thing.

I just looked up the trippy scenes you mentioned and...um, wow, yeah, how did I forget about these ahaha

I'm also really enjoying Picross lol. Haven't spent any extra cash on it though. I'm terrified of having to do the bigger puzzles in the future! T.T
