Seriously, it's honestly my favorite thing about the site.

Tho I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss being on here in the long term.

Very much agreed! A re-release would be fantastic, if nothing else just for the accessibility. It's been a challenge to find any of them used for a reasonable price. I ended up borrowing Bloodlines because holy heck that's expensive for a Genesis game.

I did just order the two "Sorrow" games, and while I'll get them partway through the month, I'm guessing I'll end up saving them for next year. Ideally I'll have Lament and Portrait of Ruin by then as well.

Thanks!

I played a few Castlevania games last October (III, IV, and Symphony), so as I found other games I figured I'd wait until this October to play them and make it an annual thing! I'm really liking Dissonance right now and will probably focus on that before heading back to Rondo. I like the Symphony-style a lot better than the classic style... but they're both their own kind of fun. I'm saving Ecclesia for last because I'm more interested in it than the other 2 and I think it'll be a good way to end my Castlevania Month.

Hopefully by next year I'll have a few more to play... The other handhelds are my priority, but Lament would be an interesting time from what I've seen.

Final Fantasy VII Remake was fantastic! I've never played FFVII before so this is the first time experiencing this world. I'm playing the original FFVII up the the point the Remake ends to see just how they adapted the original. It's crazy just how much the fleshed out the original game! It took me 30 hours to finish the Remake and so far it's looking like I will play through the same point in the original game in around 5 hours! I really enjoy the experience of playing the remake and the original side by side so I am as soon as I get caught up in the original I am going to set it aside until the next installment of the remake comes out.

How are you enjoying Super Mario 3D All-Stars? I hope to be able to get to it soon myself! Just trying to finish up some unfinished games first!

Yup! My first time playing the Zero Trilogy and I absolutely loved it so far!!

Going to start VLR this weekend but regarding 999 it had great dialogue, characters, puzzles and twists throughout! really really surprised people don’t talk about the series more often. I guess it’s just the genre as I’ve always had the struggle to getting people to play Another Code too haha

Funny story someone I knew got confused and thought 999 was the final game in the series instead of the first so I actually played about 2 hours of VLR before a bud on BL noticed I hadn’t played 999 yet!
Extremely lucky they noticed! especially since I’ve now unlocked the true ending and realising how much you learn about specific events

How’s your new PC treating you btw? Remember you had some difficulties with it a while back, so hope that’s all sorted out now

Yeah, MMOs are really good for filling time between releases. Unfortunately, it feels like there's barely been much time between releases recently and I'm still spending all my time on XIV. There's some games coming out soon that I'll hopefully get around to playing, I've been waiting on them for a long time now so I should have a lot of incentive to play 'em.

Sorry to say that I don't have any sort of page for graphic design. I just learned how to use the basics in Photoshop for the sake of making my own banners and icons, I'm not a graphic designer or any kind of artist, haha. I'll probably change things up on my profile if I get back into the swing of things.

Followed you back on Twitter!

DMC5 is so badass. I love the characters and fast paced combat with the hardcore music playing in the back .

And yeah man! Nintendo was having a sale, I picked up Goblin Sword for a $1! It looked pretty sick, something new to try out that sounded up my alley. Plus, I had saw before that you had given it those 5 stars, so I was like .

As far as Undertale, I’m going in blind too. All I keep hearing is the good things about it and i’m looking forward to playing it! I’m a sucker for pixel art & sprites by the way, I love when games use that style.

Hey man! This is also my first time playing Kingdoms of Amalur! It's exactly what I was looking for and I even put off Devil May Cry 5 just to play it. This game gives off a ton of Skyrim vibes in my opinion.

As far as the story, you're essentially the first success in this experiment that brings a soul back from the dead and connects it back to the body of its owner. Just in time too, because the world is currently getting overrun by a horrible elves race known as the Fae... and it can mean the end of the world. It's somewhat of a generic one, but i'm liking it so far and you can definitely get lost in it if you let it suck you in.

I know you mentioned that you enjoy big open worlds and exploring. As far as I can see, the game definitely has a pretty good sized world to explore. There's lorestones and other stuff to find that gives you extra stat boosts and such.

I love the class system in this game! It's essentially Warrior, Thief or Mage, but depending on how you choose to invest your points, there's a class just for your build! There's like 40-something classes and you can switch whenever you want (assuming you have the points invested.)

There's plenty to do, plenty to see, plenty to fight and plenty of ways to switch up how you do things. There's treasure to find and the world can be beautiful. I think you'd like it!

Oh, I also forgot to mention that the load times can be a little bit of a pain.

Carrion was definitely an interesting Metroidvania. I felt lost most of the time, being honest, and there were a few challenging points getting my mind wrapped around the controls. Overall it was a good time, though. Be the horror monster. Neat game.
This is where it all starts and ends.
