Did you manage to notice anything this time in your Zero Escape play-through?
I’m sure when I play through it again so much will pop out at me especially with 999
Just curious but did you ever play 999 on DS I’ve read about the 2 screens being involved with the final puzzle and turning the device upside down and that the text shown on the top one was from Akane the entire game that just blows my mind I sort of got it playing through the PC version but man the DS did some incredible tricks back in the day (Another code was a great one for that too)

I think the Great Ace Attorney would be a fantastic place to start! So glad I’ve managed to sell you on it haha I’m about to beat the game soon and it’s my GOTY by miles so far you won’t be disappointed!

I’m really happy AI: The Somnium Files managed to take off and give them another series to work on I heard that World ends club didn’t sell that well and it just kills me that I’m not interested / haven’t been sold on it yet I just want that studio to do well and reach the highs of Zero Escape again!

Thanks man! I've been in need of a new theme for a long time and Tales of Arise has had an impact on me to the point of inspiring me to whip up a theme for it. Such a fantastic game! Definitely keep this one high up on your list of games to buy once you clear out some of your current games!

Speaking of games to buy when finishing current games, a game on my list is Dark Souls Remastered. After reading your high praise of the Soulsborne series I very much look forward to experiencing Dark Souls for the very first time!

Good luck with your goal of finishing games before buying new ones! I've been doing the same thing which has helped immensely in finishing my Backlog! Not to mention games deserve to be finished before moving on to other games! I don't buy much games these days so I put a lot of thought into each game I do buy. Therefore I don't run into games where I don't feel motivated to finish.

What is the next must-buy game on your list? The next game I plan on picking up is actually and older game, Fire Emblem: Three Houses. Heard so much about it and can't wait to experience another Fire Emblem game. As for new releases the next one I pick up will be Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl to play with my wife.

How is Demon's Souls on PS5? Have you played it back on PS3? I played it a bit on PS3 and loved what I played but never made it too far. Definitely on the list of games I will be picking up when I eventually obtain a PS5. I might borrow my brother's PS5 to try it out actually.

Speaking of PS5, any interest in picking up Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart? I borrowed my brother's PS5 and the game and platinumed the game over a weekend. Excellent game, albeit a bit on the short side. So maybe once the price drops a bit you should definitely check it out!

I absolutely can't wait to play the Zero Escape games again but i'm going to give it another year before I do a replay (try and forget as much as possible haha)

I'm dying to play AI: The Somnium Files with it's sequel announced for next year too but with my focus being on new games this year and stuff like Endwalker, Metroid and Kena coming up I just can't find the time!

The Ace Attorny series was my first introduction to Visual novel games if the game wasnt as strong as it was I probably wouldn't of bothered with Zero escape or others like Disco Elysium/13 Sentinals so it definitely left a strong impression on me after playing haha As you're a fan of Detective Conan & Zero Escape already it's pretty much a done deal already It's full of so many great mysteries, querky characters, connections and plot twists it's a fit for any detective fan!

So games wise the best place to start is with the Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy this Includes the first 3 games in the Pheonix Wright series, it's all one big connected story and avalable on everything at this point.

After the Trilogy theres Apollo Justice (AA4), Dual Destanies (AA5) and Spirit of Justice (AA6) you can get all these on Mobile or 3DS, All great games but they don't quite reach the hights of the original trilogy. (Not to say there isn't the odd great case in each however)

Spin offs include Ace Attorny Investigations 1+2 and Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright but I haven't played these yet.

Finally there's The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles this is it's own thing set in the past with Pheonix Wrights Ancestor and it's a must play! Captures the feel of the original trilogy has mind boggling twists / turns and the cases are based of The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes stories. I honnestly can't praise this one enough! (You could play this one first too as it's one complete story and imo a great introduction to the series overall)

It's a fantastic series that's deffo worth playing! If you want anymore info feel free to ask

Yes! Fatherhood is great so far! It gets better and better the older my son gets. He is quickly approaching 5 months old already! He is really starting to have a personality now, it's so fun watching him grow!

I agree! It was so much fun playing Rise! I still think about jumping back on for a hunt or two occasionally. There is some DLC and plenty of event quests I have yet to experience. I can't wait for an expansion to come out! That game is just sooooo good!

After playing through Monster Hunter Stories and now playing Stories 2 I would totally recommend the series! It's kinda like Monster Hunter mixed with Pokémon, it's very fun! The first game is quite hard to find nowadays but I think if you wanted to try out the games you can just start with Wings of Ruin on Switch. There is co-op quests which would be really fun to play with you!

Thanks man!

It was a long road for sure! I will say the arrival of my son definitely helped me get there. The combination of selling off a lot of my game collection, which mostly consisted of unfinished games, and a tight budget which really limits my game purchases did wonders on my Backlog progress!

I was gifted both the Monster Hunter Stories games from a good friend as a reward for clearing my Backlog so I will be enjoying those games for awhile! Have you ever considered playing them?

Master of Unlocking: Majority of games are completed
Yeap!

I was going into this summer thinking "It will be kind of nice to get some downtime, do stuff with the family, and get some games in." Only the middle thing happened lol. Apparently it's already September?!

I'm really liking Intermission so far. It's beautiful, Yuffie is delightful out of the gate, and I'm feeling challenged by the combat like I was when I first played Remake so overall big plusses. I'm moving slow in it so I haven't really gotten anywhere. I'm just playing Fort Condor and I found all those turtle flyers around the slums. I'm planning as you are. I want to play through the whole thing again, but closer to Part 2's release. So... I'll maybe save Hard for them. Unless I get completely sucked in. Then all bets are off.

I *loved* Bravely Default 1. Bravely Second was alright, not quite as gripping, but it largely felt like more of the same. BD2 is good so far. It hasn't fully gotten its hooks into me yet, but it's done enough that I'm going to move forward with it and see where it goes. Looks good. It feels a bit slow, and the battle difficulty make me think there's going to be a lot of grinding to prep for fights which I don't love... but we'll see.

Hope you're doing well!

Wow, what a Now Playing list you got here! Three games I'm interested in and would love to hear your thoughts when you have some! Specifically Risk of Rain 2, Dead Cells, and Super Monkey Ball! What variety!
This is where it all starts and ends.
