I'd be up for that. I haven't playing New Leaf in quite awhile though, no telling what has become of my town

I personally could never go back to Wild World or any other Animal Crossing for anything other than nostalgia. They made it easier to get bells (I hated the grinding it previous games), they made it possible to make stores open up earlier or stay open later and you can customize your village quite a bit. These things make it the best game in the series for me. Also, you can have Blathers assess four fossils at a time instead of one by one. Can't remember if that was a thing in WW but it's amazing

I don't know if you should continue with WW or not. I enjoy NL more than I have any other AC game. It depends whether or not something like getting bells easier or personalizing your town interests you. I know they've added other new things to NL, like new furniture sets, fish/bugs, villagers, etc. but I can't think of any other actually improvements over WW off the top of my head other than the obvious like better graphics. With that said, I don't know if I am that far into the game so there might be quite a bit I have yet to discover.

I hope I was able to help out a little. If you have any questions about anything specific I'd be happy to answer if I am able to.

Just about everything. There's basically been no reason to anything but use the attack command constantly, the materia system feels underdeveloped, the dark and gritty atmosphere of the scenery clashes with the goofy characters, the script is terribly translated, the controls feel wrong (isometrics controls in a 3D game? Slow ass walking by default with no way to change it?) and overall I've not seen a single thing to recommend it over the other games in the series - I enjoyed 3,4 and especially 5 much more than this, and likewise with 9, 10 and 12. It's not terrible, it's just....there.

I kinda feel that of all the FF games, this is the one where you had to be there to get it. I was still playing my Mega Drive when FF7 came out, and I got an N64 after that. Even though I didn't get to the FF series until recently, I've found all the ones I've played to be pretty enjoyable - except this one, which just feels competent, not remarkable.

I liked it, though in terms of its platforming, there are better games on the console. What I enjoy is the weird way it handles its horror elements and its unique level designs. I'd say it's better than many of the other Looney Tunes games on the console.

I agree with everything you said. Super Meat Boy is a classic. And to think I waited so long to play it.

I'm not finding the Dark Worlds incredibly easy, but it's funny how I can spend an hour on a level and then beat it in one go afterwards.

I loved Super Mario 3D Land. That one didn't disappoint at all. I would DEFINITELY recommend that to anyone who has a 3DS (or is considering getting one). It isn't the 2D style of NSMB, so it's not just "more of the same," so to speak.

I see you're close to finishing New Super Mario Bros. If you have a 3DS (I don't see any games listed here, so I'm assuming you don't have one), don't get your hopes up for New Super Mario Bros 2. It's a good game, but it's disappointing; they didn't really add much of anything, so it's a bit of a let down. Just a word of forewarning about it if you don't have it already.

Congrats on finishing Link to the Past a couple weeks ago. That's tied with Ocarina of Time as my favorite game in the Legend of Zelda series.

Yeah, that's my total since I got it at launch. For the most part I just played the game and got stickers as I went, though I've been grinding for them lately to finish it off. As for the trophies, they were mostly pretty easy, except for the boss mode trophies, which were tricky, and the annoying trophies like beating 100 man brawl as everybody, or playing 100 hours etc. which took a long time to beat.

LOL, it was that exact video that inspired me to do this special run. I might have grown up on the first two games, but even I have to admit that N&B is a masterpiece, and may even be better than the originals

Spyro the Dragon is a fantastic game. Over the past year I have played through and completed all three games 100%. I'd say that overall the second game is the best, but by a slim margin.

I'm interested in how you feel about Animal Crossing once you get into it. I have the GameCube version and played it for a few hours last year. It just felt like busy work. I think I would prefer Harvest Moon if I were to play a game like this.

I think the game would benefit greatly from having "visitors". This is basically never going to happen around here on the GameCube, since it requires someone else to play the game and bring their save file over. A version with online play would probably be much more enjoyable.

Re: Super Mario Bros.

My current high score is 762,850. That is using no warps and not doing anything in particular to get a lot of points, other than always trying to use fireballs against each "Bowser" (which gives 5000 bonus if I recall correctly).

Let's see if you can beat that.

I played Crash Bandicoot 2 too. I liked that game even more than the original title. So pick it up if you can!

FF can get gruesome in grinding where the Elf prince is to upgrade eq and magic. It gets tons fast and better once you get past the town of Melmond. What kind of party are you using?

Although my backloggery page seems to show only a few systems, I actually own others and a huge amount of games too. I just don't want to bother putting it all in because it would take me hours. I own all the latest consoles minus the Xbox360. I also own all the nintendo and playstation consoles.

I decided to add about 10 games a month to my backloggery account. It gives me enough motivation to play through those games and gives people like you a chance to see what I'm up to play next. There are games on that list that I am replaying, but it's because it's just so worth it.

Phantasy Star is an excellent game. Compared to Final Fantasy, it's a longer game, worse soundtrack, confusing plot, more challenging, involves more strategy in battles, might have to grind near the endgame, get to explore 3 planets, lots of cool vehicles to use for transportation, the guns used by Odin are awesome, etc. And the list goes on. But this is one of the few RPGs where I had to turn down the volume during gameplay...

I see you're also into retro games!

I stumbled upon your page when I saw on the main page that you had completed Crash Bandicoot. I remember that game inside out. It was the first game I played on the PS back at launch.

I also noticed you're playing SMB and FF. Those two are both cornerstones games which revolutionized videogaming.

Do you update your backloggery page often?

I remember when Animal Crossing first came out for the Gamecube, I bought it on a whim. I had absolutely no idea what it was, just that it "looked" good. It turned out to be one of my all time favorite games. I am not sure what it was really, but I know I was hooked. Only thing is that it can get super repetitive but I tend to come back now and then anyway.

I think Wild World is my favorite version because of course it's portable and the trading is a lot easier compared to the Gamecube version. But yeah, I love it.

If you're connected to WiFi and want to trade or something I'd be happy to trade friend codes with you.

Sadly I couldn't say how The Punisher compares to the first Max Payne, as I've only played the second. That said, I liked The Punisher far better than Max Payne II, which I thought was ok but not stellar.

I have the Punisher game for PS2. Oh man, that game is brutally awesome! The fight against the Russian was easily my favorite level.
