And I'm not normally a person who's big on the feminist analysis of things, but -- don't even get me started on how much misogyny is in this game. It's a big let-down after Vesperia, where the women were treated as characters first, women second, and mere love interests NEVER.
It's been posited to me that I'd enjoy the game a lot more if I stop watching skits and doing sidequests, and it's a sign of how bothered I am that I'm considering doing that.
