Yeah, the entire series is absolutely fantastic, easily one of Nintendo's best. It's such a shame most people wouldn't play them because "they are rhythm games, who cares".

Yeah, I'm kind of concerned about the character balance too. Ninjara and Ribbon Girl definitely stand out from the rest of the cast because they're great at dodging attacks. In my opinion, all of the others play more or less the same. As for Twintelle, she doesn't seem to be too good, but I haven't seen her slow-down gimmick yet.
I agree with everything else you said. Basketball is good, but I wish there was more variety. Skillshot (the target mode) isn't too much fun and I don't understand how many points do I get each time.
Hedlok is just stupid hard, lv 6 is pretty much impossible unless your teammates are great (I did manage to win once by 1 second somehow). But then there's a lv 7, and I doubt it can be possible to defeat no matter how good your team is. I woukd just remove the time limit and make it a survival thing. Not dying is hard enough, considering his burst attack is OP and deals 500 damage each time you get trapped.
I'm still not really convinced to buy this game. I guess I will try it out, but I doubt I will play it for long.

Hey, what did you think about the new content in ARMS?

I don't think they're going to change that - but yeah, repetition is a problem, especially in lobbies where you fight against the same opponent multiple times.
It doesn't seem to be a glitch, it's how it behaves, and that's bad. I wish there was an option to set it further back. Speaking of options, I really wish I could customize my controls. I have to shield by pressing the left joystick, but it takes me a lot of time to do that, so I almost never shield. I would just set it to ZL or ZR.
I agree, every character is just very slow.
1v1v1 is stupid, yeah, but I think 2v2 encounters are way worse. First, I can't easily tell which player is my teammate. It isn't always a problem, but in one match, both teams were Ninjara + Master Mummy (who, by the way, are basically picked by 70% of the players), and the green Ninjara was part of the ORANGE team, while the red one was in the GREEN team. What I hate the most, though, is how both characters can't separate. That's stupid. Imagine you're playing a team battle in Smash, but when a teammate gets shot off the stage, you must follow him and you get flung off too! This makes grabs OP, since one teammate gets 150/200 damage from being attacked, and the other gets 100 solely because his partner was knocked away.
The demo hasn't convinced me to buy the full game yet, but even then, there's always Splatoon for playing online. I think ARMS probably won't be as successful as Splatoon if Nintendo doesn't fix some of these problems.

I played for 2 hours, and yeah, it kinda started to feel a little repetitive to me, and a little light on content - but then again, Splatoon was little game when it first released too, and grew up with updates as time passed. I really hope Nintendo will let us try out basketball in the next Testpunches.
Dang, you beat me! I stopped at 94 during the first round. I did worse on my second round. I mostly played as Ninjara because he's fast, and I always look for speedy characters in fighting games. I tried Min Min a few times too, but I think I found my main already.
My main gripe right now is the camera. It's so close to your character that you can barely see what's going on around you, especially during the frantic 4-player matches. I also had problems turning it to face the opponent I wanted to, and I lost a couple times because of that.

RMX fixes the rubber band issue a little. CPUs aren't as good as in NEO, but they can still be really annoying on some tracks (especially Mori Park).
Kamiko is pretty short, yeah. It takes less than 1 hour to finish a blind playthrough. It's a nice time killer, and if don't have any other games to buy, you might wanna try it out.
I don't think I'll get MK8D. An improved Battle Mode isn't enough to convince me buying MK8 again. If there is some DLC announced for Deluxe only, however, I might reconsider this decision.
(EDIT: I was in a hurry when I first wrote this comment so I clarified it a little.)

I'm not really good at predicting things either. It's nice to know there are tutorials, though.
I saw a couple gameplay videos and I got a little curious about playing the game, so I guess I might buy it in the future.
EDIT: While we're talking about Switch stuff, mind adding me as a friend? My FC is SW-2126-6465-7709.

Really complicated? Considering I suck at puzzle games in general, I'll probably pass up on this game. I don't really have any friend who wants to play local multiplayer with me either.

How is Puyo Puyo Tetris? I considered buying it, but I ended up buying other puzzle games instead.

*ahem*

Yeah, my N64 is still hooked up to my TV, it just doesn't see much use these days. OoT is a damn fine game. I suggest you to check out the original even after you beat the remake. It just feels completely different.

So, what did I play today? The "watch my Switch shipping status all day" game. It's pretty bad, I can't recommend it at this point. But I heard there's an update coming in the next few days which might actually make it enjoyable.

At least I'm certain that I will never manage to finish Etrian 2 in time. Impossible, the game is just too big. Are you planning on beating anything before the 3rd?

It's still nice you've brought your count to 4 again.
No, I did A Link Between Worlds and actually enjoyed it. I never played an open-world game because I don't like exploring really large worlds. I would get lost pretty easily.
I'm going to play through the remake first. I don't really like VC either, I prefer playing games on their original console with their original controller.
That's nice to hear, hopefully I won't have a lot of troubles and will actually finish the game.

I'm not gonna risk it. Color Splash stays wrapped for the time being. I will also SO not finish Etrian 2 in time because this game is way longer than I initially thought. The thought of just giving up is really sad because I've actually taken a liking to the game despite the slow and frankly uninteresting first couple of hours.

You've ... never played a Zelda game? It's time to remedy that. Just in time for Breath of the Wild. Although it's a very good game, I would recommend you to play the original Ocarina of Time on N64 before starting the 3DS remake. The remake did some ... let's just say unfavorable things to a couple of segments which made the original game stand out. The final boss being of of them.

I can't speak for BotW of course, but you're in for a treat. Reading the previews, it sounds like BotW is actually a good place to get started with the Zelda franchise. Let's just hope the game doesn't fall prey to the open world disease which is just mindlessly following waypoint markers and slaving away from gathering point A to treasure chest X to craft weapon Z.

Anyway, have fun!

Late reply, I only happened to check your page now.
Color Splash isn't really long, BTW. If you try and avoid as many enemy battles as you can the game should only take 3 days to finish, maybe even 2. It's not completely useless to battle enemies since you can extend your max Paint, but Paint itself is rarely used in big quantities (except for painting Cards - but then again, painted version exist, and you can buy as many as you want because Coins are really common).
You're right, but I want to play it because I'm not used to Zelda games at all, let alone open-world games. Actually, this should be my first one if I'm not mistaken.
I pre-ordered my Switch and my BotW copy long ago, I'm all set.

I highly doubt I can finish both Etrian 2 and Color Splash. At first, I thought hurrying to finish the 3DS games wouldn't matter that much, then I remembered that I can also play the Switch in bed which is usually the 3DS' territory. I should at least try to finish Etrian 2 because I think I would abandon the game come March 3rd. Color Splash can wait, I think. I dunno. It's hard.

If I were you, I would hold off from playing OoT just yet. You wouldn't want to be tired of Zelda games when the new one releases. By the way - are you getting a Switch or will you be playing the Wii U version?

You've got this!
Meanwhile, I can't even force myself to play Ocarina 3D even when Breath of the Wild is a week away from release.
I have played way more games than you see here. I merely started keeping track when I made my Backloggery account.
