Ninja Boy 2
3 hours: So far pretty easy, except for the boss that just bodied me. Might need some grinding to beat him.

Game #71: Might and Magic III: Isles of Terra...

A final score is strange to see in an RPG, but I suppose this indicates what quests I've completedKTOW? Anyone have any idea what this might do?It was difficult to gauge just how close to the end I was, and how difficult the final maps were going to ...

I know the feeling; I actually started getting depressed playing Kingdom Hearts, because I hated it so much, but I had to play it because I lost a bet. Luckily, I was freed from my shackles, because I'd given it a fair shake, and that was good enough for my debtor. I imagine that length will be a problem; I don't dislike RPGs, but playing them back-to-back kinda wears me down, unless it's something I've already conquered a million times, like a Final Fantasy or the like. I currently have 14 to play, and I'm planning to space them out with other genres, just to keep from burning out. That said, I think I'd much prefer a bland game to a bad one. I think it'd depend on the CD-based game; I don't imagine the SEGA CD ones are that long; just crammed with fully animated cutscenes. That said, the only one I've played is Vay, and I couldn't bring myself to get very far. But yeah, who knows what you'll find!

That's a good thing; I had a friend who was really into Romance of the Three Kingdoms 2, and all he ever wanted to do was play it. I'd get so goddamn bored that I'd attack someone, and get my ass handed to me, because I had no idea what I was doing. Granted, I've never been good at Strategy.

I seem to remember renting Little Ninja Brothers back in the day, getting to some talking horse thing in a shrine, being thrown into a minigame, and having no idea what to do. Since I immediately abandoned the game and just started playing other stuff that I had, I could be remembering some of that incorrectly, but we're 100% into the Information Age, so I might give it another go, because now, I can just look it up. I am both envious and not envious of your Odyssey; it's a very interesting journey to see absolutely every RPG - I did something similar with entire system libraries - but on the other hand, it obligates you to do just that; there's no skipping a bad one. Either way, I enjoy watching your adventures!

Hmm. I thought your avatar was Legacy of the Wizard, but it appears to be Hillsfar. I haven't played Legacy of the Wizard in ages, but it definitely looks similar.

If your picture means upcoming games for you to tackle, you've got some great games ahead. Shining Force is an old favorite, and Lufia is terrific too. I wonder if Sorcerer's Kingdom is good?

That might actually explain the terrible sound quality and ear-damaging sound effects. Are the war battles like you'd see in SRPGs, or is it something completely different, like in the first Suikoden? I see that Ninja Boy is next on your list; I'll have to give that another shot, since I haven't played it in a long time. If I'm interpreting your banner correctly, it looks like Great Greed is immediately thereafter. It's not the best I've played, and I think the music is terrible, but the humor is pretty great, especially in the ending.
