I'm trying to play the games I have rather than buy new ones, but I just made a run to coinstar and now have an $185.80 gift certificate to amazon.com...

I seem to be buying up a lot of old PS2 rpgs... I must be up to something...

It's a little of both. I beat a few more enemies after being fed up with dieing so much to gain some level,and I was level 37 with each character.That said,timing is probably the more important thing,considering you can theoretically avoid every attack in the game.
After all the tricky, but manageable bosses in the game,they throw us two absolutely annoying final bosses.

Sold Scurge Hive. It was alright but after about an hour or two I figured I'd be better off just trying a Metroid game (Which will probably be Fusion)

You know, it's funny, the first time I saw your avatar I was thinking it was supposed to be the Green Ranger modded from a MegaMan sprite (Battle Network, from the looks of it).

Sold Golden Sun. Seems to be real popular but it just wasn't doing anything for me

I just removed Partners in Time because I realized I have no intention of playing through it. It's my roommates, but I do own Superstar Saga, which I thought was pretty fun in some areas (mostly the nostalgia of playing mario games as a kid). Still though, I do have some problems with it, mostly how unbelievably frustrating the end boss is. I'm thinking I might just have to bite the bullet and grind through it, since I just cannot dodge a lot of those attacks reliably. The Mario/Luigi series is alright, but there's a lot of other games I'd rather play through. And hey, maybe I'll try Bowser's Inside Story some day.

I've started denoting which games i needed to use a guide or FAQ to beat with a * in the comment section. There isn't enough space to specify where exactly I got stuck, but if anyone is curious I can fill you in.

For a jolly romp in 2d cuteness RPGs, they're a decent play. Not overly hard or challenging, and very item based. As a completionist/perfectionist they can get a little annoying at times, and they have small little bugs here and there. But overlooking the faults, they are a decent time killer for a cheap price. I've only played 1 and 2 so far, 3 is waiting until I complete them. heh

I'm a little confused by the ratio of Mario to non-Mario titles I'm currently playing. Never thought myself much of a nintendo fanboy. Guess that's what happens when you bench the PS2 for a few months...
