Dan is one of the locked characters and since I've mainly been doing online and not arcade I haven't unlocked anyone yet. To get him you have to unlock Sakura first by beating Ryu's story mode then beat the mode again with Sakura to get Dan.

You know I kind of agree. I enjoyed the first fable though, even though it did lack a lot of depth. The second one though... there were WAY too many bugs and stuff that bogged it down. The multiplayer was really disappointing too, which was one of the aspects I was most looking forward too. That, and no matter what I did I couldn't make my character, I don't like the story, and there was NO ending boss... it was just kinda... done. Oh well.
