Yeah, it doesn't seem like I'm missing much from the 2600 days, but that's obviously coming from a place of no attachment. As for ALBW: thanks. If you think of game length as spoiler, do not read on.

The game's pretty short. I got, as far as I know, 100% of everything in that game and it took me about 17 hours according to my 3DS. I didn't feel I was trying to rush through it. Another friend said he did the same in 19 hours. He enjoyed it more than I did though. I'm not going to say much, but there are certainly some things I didn't care for, and a couple issues that needed to be addressed, but overall I do think it's basically a must-have 3DS title if you like Zelda. Specifically 2D Zelda.

Sounds like you respect yourself and how you game. That's good. My favorite thing about Backloggery is how easy it makes it to track your gaming history; can't really be sure where to go in the future if you don't keep track of your past, you know?

I'm slowly getting through a lot of older titles myself—I say slowly because I'm always playing new stuff too. Most of them are games I missed entirely when I was younger. As far as I know my entire game collection is up on Backloggery, with most of the games I've yet to purchase and want listed under the wishlist too. Feel free to peruse it and ask about a game or tell me which to start on next. If you add your database to yours I'll do the same.

By the way, if I'm ever playing a game you happen to own too or are interested in, I'm all up for streaming it, playing it if it's multiplayer, etc. I don't own a mic, I'm a behind-the-screens kind of guy, but I love playing stuff with/for others. I'll watch you game if you ever want to stream yourself, too. It could help with the whole encouraging thing.

"True to its SNES roots" is one way of putting it.

I don't think I ever played a single Atari game. At least, not on an Atari or an emulator. I've played some arcade games that I'm sure were often better than their Atari brethren, but that's probably it. My first console was a NES.

Nothing so far, but games on my wishlist are on sale (like Max Payne and Binary Domain) and I'm hoping a few others go on sale. I'll probably get something before it ends. I'm mostly looking forward to the winter sale though, that's when it gets crazy.

Happy to have someone on my multitap that's friendly too.

Yeah, I picked it up with the Humble Bundle. It's okay. I like some of the humor. It's charming, but the game itself can feel repetitive. It's like "Enter this area, see who needs help, come up with obvious solution, go to next person, repeat." Sometimes I try to go for non-standard solutions, but that's only if something non-standard immediately pops into my head and I want to see if it'll work. That said, I think there's a flaw in a game's design if all the effort required to make the game enjoyable is on your end. By that, I mean actively trying to seek non-standard solutions instead of simply doing what's most efficient. I've yet to see much that encourages me to do non-standard solutions.

I've not heard of Joint Task Force. I feel the RTS is such a prolific genre on PC that it's hard to run out of "great" RTS games, especially since those games are typically pretty long. Have you played most of the "great" ones. Are you a big fan of that genre? How's Killer7? I beat that earlier this year I think and I while I wasn't a huge fan of some of the gameplay, the wackiness and eeriness of the story really made the experience pretty enjoyable! I liked it!

Also, do you mind if I ask who you are? You're clearly seeing my Steam activity so are you the one guy on my Steam friends list who owns Joint Task Force (Devlyiik)?

So far, I think Sonic generations is a good place to start, not Secret Rings though. I played that sonic game and it was horrible. And so far at the moment, Sonic Colors is actually quite good.

Honestly, Super Mario galaxy 1 and 2, so far are one of the best games ever created. In my opinion. Because I love that game so far!

I like it a lot. The maps are a little too big but I like the gameplay more. More balanced guns (so far) and I like that the killstreaks aren't as good. Makes it less OP. Lots of other people I know hate it so you might want to rent it first and see if it is for you.

Not my first time playing TLOZ. Played it on NES and GameCube. Still an amazing game though.
