April 6 2017 - Link...open your eyes....

Ok whoo actual progress:

-Beat Ocarina of Time
-Beat Ninja Gaiden
-Beat Gremlins 2
-And of course Breath of the Wild

So we're flying with the Zelda timeline. I'm almost done with Wind Waker and plan to jump right into Phantom Hourglass after that.

I got a PS4 and started catching up on Digimon games.

And mostly, I'm diving back into some older stuff, mostly NES. I found that a few games in my collection are pretty expensive (Chip n Dale 2), which is cool, and I want to expand that collection. But I also want to start working on completing some of the ones I already have. Gremlins 2 and Ninja Gaiden are a great start (did I mention Ninja Gaiden though because that definitely happened) and I'm pumped to work through more.

Oh oh ok so Pokemon. Sun and Moon are great, and most of my Pokemon time is spent shiny hunting now. I'd been hunting Suicune in Crystal since last February, and finally got it in October after 13,184 soft resets. Taking a bit of a break now but I have some ideas of what to shoot for next.

So yeah. As usual I'm adding goals faster than I'm completing them, but I'm making Zelda progress, taking down huge games (NINJA GAIDEN THO), and actually following through on some tough things like Suicune. Things are looking alright.

February 22 2016 - #Pokemon20

Wow. I'm slacking with these updates.

Let's start with the usual list:
-Beatles Rock Band Guitar FGFC
-Completed the Pokemon Black2 Pokedex
-Finally finished the .hack//IMOQ series and already through Vol 1 of GU

Still working on Zelda and Tomb Raider but no real progress

So yeah. Three huge long-time goals finally completed. Feels good man.

In other news, I got Disney Infinity 3.0, and I build for the weekly Toy Box challenges with Marc as team FettJaM. As of now we've gotten Rising Star and one Top 5.

I got Rise of the Tomb Raider and quickly finished it. There's a lot more to do in it but for now my attention is elsewhere. Lots of Pokemon goals, a few Starwars games, constant DI building. But there's still progress being made on everything here and there, so I think we're doing alright.

September 5 - I used to be an adventurer like you...

So lots of things squeezed into really spaced out updates seems to have become the usual here.

-Beat Minish Cap and Four Swords. Started Ocarina of Time FINALLY
-Started Tomb Raider 1. Also finally.
-Got all 120 stars in Mario 64 because I realized that's not something I should be without.
-Started Skyrim. It's pretty good.
-Bought Injustice for the sole purpose of achievement hunting with Erik. At 34 out of 50.

Playing through Skyrim while I wait for things like DBZ, Naruto, and Digimon Rumble to come out. Otherwise hitting Zelda and Tomb Raider here and there.

April 11 2014 - and then mother nature was all PSYCHE

I FCd Waking the Demon guitar. Wowee. And then the same day Nima and I double FCd A Hard Day's Night in The Beatles Rock Band; I FCd the guitar while we double FCd the vocal harmonies. Pretty cool.

I got Yu-Gi-Oh! Millennium Duels on Xbox. It's a good timekiller.

I finished the last achievement in Plants vs. Zombies.

I got Battleblock Theater and Allison and I are playing through on Co-op (while I trail shortly behind in solo). So fun.

February 21 2014 - Yugioh and stuff I guess

THINGS:

-Got DBZ Battle of Z. It's pretty cool. Beat all the missions, want all the achievements.
-On a Yugioh kick lately. Jumped back into Falsbound Kingdom and Reshef of Destruction. Hopefully I can Complete those and be done with it before I phase out of Yugioh again.
-Got the DLC for Naruto Storm 3. Finished the five new achievements, so I'm back to 100%. Feels good man.
-Got DOA Xtreme 2. Since it's one of the most tedious games to 100%, I figured I'd go for it.
-Also been doing some rhythm game stuff lately. Mostly just playing around for fun. But maybe I can find the motivation to get some work done on some of my long-term goals.
-Zelda. .hack. Tomb Raider. Still gotta get back to those.
-Played some Symphonia with Devon and Allie. We're getting close to disc two.
-Allie really wants to play Eternal Sonata so I'll be getting on that soon too.

November 2 2013 - It's tough to maintain creativity with these headlines

Just a routine update since I have the time. I've obviously been playing Pokemon Y nonstop. I beat the story in a few days, and now I'm filling in the Kalos dex (so that when I transfer over I can have that complete). I recently saw a picture of a shiny Sylveon and fell in love, so for the past few days I've been rocking the Matsuda Method to try for a shiny Eevee. I've hatched almost 300 eggs BUT I'M STILL HOPEFUL.

Yeah, I've still got .hack and Skyward Sword on hold EVERYONE SHUT UP I'LL GET THERE WHEN I GET THERE

I occasionally dick around in Project Diva too. And other random things. Nothing as big as Pokemon though.

Yeah yeah Pokemon comes out Saturday. I didn't finish the Black 2 Pokedex like I planned because I'm an idiot. Imagine that. I'll still do that eventually, and still finish up what I need to in Platinum.

In other news, I've been playing Project Diva F a lot lately. Already finished most of the achievements, and now just FC grinding. Totally cool.

Just wanted to update. No progress on Zelda or Tomb Raider either. Kill me.

August 29 2013 - I'M NOT DONE YET

Yeah so I didn't actually die, and I am still doing stuff. I'm close to the end of Skyward Sword, and I'm close to the end of .hack//Outbreak. I've also been slowly picking up the Pokedex in Black 2 here and there.

And I got internet, so I've been playing some Left 4 Dead with the crew.

Just saying.

July 19 2013 - FAIRY GOD PARENTS

Alrighty, so here's my updated plan of action:

-Play through the Zelda series in order of the timeline from Hyrule Historia
-Finish the .hack games and play/watch/read the rest of them

Those are the big things I'm working through right now, but I do also have a checklist of smaller things.

-Still working on Houkago Live, and even got my old save data back so I don't have to start from scratch
-Once I finish either .hack or Zelda (ha yeah okay) I'll move on to Tomb Raider
-When Devon and I get internet, we can continue streaming Tales of Symphonia
-And of course I still have the Pokedex to work on

But yeah. I've been focusing a lot on Zelda and .hack. I'm well into Skyward Sword, and I'm close to the end of Mutation.

June 27 2013 - Happy Birthday to my Backlog?

Yeah I guess it's been excactly two years since I've started this account. That's kinda cool I guess. I COULD say that I timed my completion of .hack//Infection (Part 1) with this day on purpose as a celebration, but I totally didn't. But still, that's cool.

But yeah, I BEAT INFECTION. AGAIN. I beat it in 9th grade (nine years ago, if that's any indication of my age) but never had the rest of the games, and never had the money to get them. And I lost the save file long ago. But now I can finally continue the damn story. And when I beat it, I'll move on to the G.U. games.

June 14 2013 - If you think it's cold now, just wait until we get to hell

Ok ok first a quick rundown of me. I moved on May 31st. I'm now living in a lovely duplex with Devon. We don't have internet just yet, but once we're settled and aren't super worried about making the bills, we'll get on that too. The house is pretty big, and with the extra rooms we've decided that I get a music room and he gets a game room. So while I've been setting up my instruments and getting a studio together, he's been hanging posters and maximizing sitting space for optimal the optimal gaming experience. Can't wait to start streaming stuff.

Anyway, what I really want to do here is make a list of things I've been meaning to get to. I still haven't really played any games in a long time, and when I get back to it I need to have some direction. So let's see where this takes me.

-Finish the Pokemon Black 2 National Dex. My deadline is October 12th.
-Play the .hack games.
-Catch up to where I was in my old save file of Houkago Live!! and FC at LEAST all of Yui's songs.
-Play through the rest of the Tomb Raider series.
-Finish Tales of Symphonia with Devon.
-Obtain either the Madoka or Toradora PSP game.

Probably more too. Idunno. We'll see.

May 7 2013 - You can't escape time.

Yeah ok despite the quote I've been slacking in Persona lately. I've been forced into doing a bit of Pokemon stuff with Marc, but otherwise I've almost entirely stopped playing games for now.

I got a lot done in Plants vs. Zombies, and only need one more achievement. I also started working on DBZ Raging Blast 2 a bit more in an effort to finish the achievements. But seriously, for like two weeks now I just haven't touched a game.

I'm mostly doing music stuff and worrying about house stuff. I'll be moving into a new place with Devon May 31st, but all the preparations for that are stupidly stressful, and now I'm waiting to see if we're approved despite either of us having ANY lines of credit. If we're approved, then we just have to come up with a buttload of money and move ALL of our crap. But until then, a slow time for gaming is upon me.

Butttttttt, after that, not only will I have a much better setup to play, but I'll have the ability to stream/record myself, so that should add to my motivation.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Things to look forward to in the future:

-Finishing Tales of Symphonia with Devon on his stream.

-Streaming an entire playthrough of the first .hack series. From Infection to Quarantine, I'm going all the way.

April 11 2013 - So let's see

-Beat Tomb Raider. And then went around to get all collectibles and challenges. And then got every other achievement that didn't require multiplayer. So I only have 13 left, and they're all online.

-Got Tomb Raider 2. I know I can't play it right now, but it was right there and I just had to.

-Devon bought a PS2 and forced it into my home with Persona 3 FES. Guess I'm playing that now. Or else.

-I finally got my Gamecube and NES back from my brother. What this really means is I got my Gamecube with Gameboy Player attached, two Wavebird controllers, a memory card, a bunch of cool Gamecube games, an NES, two controllers, a zapper gun, and about 75 games. Yay.

-I also got Naruto. And within a week finished the achievements. But I've been playing it a lot with Devon and Brandon. Funfunfun.

-I'm also still poking around Pokemon every so often. Getting closer to completing that Pokedex.

---------------------

So yeah. My main focus right now is on Persona and Pokemon. Persona is really good, but it's also really long. Pokemon needs to get done soon.

March 18 2013 - THEY SEE ME RAAAAAAAIDINNNNNNN

So the day the game came out I went to Gamestop to pick it up and also grabbed Meloetta for my Pokemon games while I was at it. Then I picked up Devon and took him to pick up his reserved copy. Turns out he didn't reserve it. Either way, I bought it for him. But while we were there, we learned that the Collector's Edition does, in fact, come with the 8" figure I'd heard about. I really wanted it, and despite really not being able to afford it at the time, I probably would have bought it if they had any left. But they didn't. BUT then Devon's friend noticed the strategy guide and the sexier Limited Edition strategy guide. I told them to go away, but they just kept showing me how pretty it was and all the cool stuff that comes with it, and I ended up buying one for me AND one for Devon.

So yeah, I spent a lot of money that day, but whatever. I beat the game within a week (longer than it would have taken but I was super busy the whole week). I was super impressed. It looked spectacular, told a great story, and had excellent gameplay. I've since been working on achievements, and walking around the entire island again searching out the last of the collectibles and challenges, something that would normally be a boring grind, didn't bother me at all because just moving around in this game is a blast.

Needless to say, I couldn't get enough of it. Long story short, on my way to Devon's today I stopped at my Gamestop and bought the Collector's Edition. It came with the game (duh), three iron-on patches, a 5x7 lithograph, a double-sided poster/map, some weapon DLC, the soundtrack, and of course, the 8" Lara figure. Combined with the character DLC and amulet that came with the special hard cover guide, that's a lot of swag. Hell, I'm even planning on checking Gamestops and other places to grab any displays or posters I can when they get rid of them.

I have two achievements left for single player, and then fifteen multiplayer ones. I really want to get into the multiplayer (once I have internet, that is), and hope my friends stay interested for a long time. I also really want to play the other Tomb Raider games now. I've only ever played demos for a few of them, but never actually committed to a full game. BUT I WANT TO PLAY THEM ALL NOW.

And I will.

March 3 2013 - Just a quickie

I have to leave for work soon but I just wanted to fire off a quick post on here because I feel like it.

I preordered Tomb Raider. Starting Tuesday that's going to be all I do for awhile.

That said, I'm really in the mood to play Pokemon right now. So when I get home tonight, I'm going to try to get as much as I can done there. The National Dex is coming along quite well, and seven months is PLENTY of time to finish it off in between other things (like work and Tomb Raider).

I miss having internet (I have it on my laptop, but not on my consoles) and I miss playing Left 4 Dead. I'm gonna see about maybe scheduling a day with Devon to go over to his place and get online and play with a bunch of people. But then again I really do wanna finish Tales of Symphonia with him.

Gahh so much to do and so little time.

Remember when I was supposed to beat Legacy of the Wizard?

I don't.

February 24 2013 - Mostly Tales of Symphonia

Been playing a lot of ToS with Devon. We're getting close to the end of the first disc. I beat the game solo years ago, but I'm really enjoying reliving the story and having Devon with me for the ride. Exciting.

In Pokemon news, I'm slowly chipping away at the Black 2 Pokedex. Especially now that I have a time limit (I want it finished before X and Y come out in October), I'm really hustling to get it done. I also have some Pokemon I want to train and I have a bit more to do here and there like the Pokemon World Tournament. But mostly working on the Pokedex.

I also beat Bullet Witch. For a few years I'd play a bit, get stuck on hard part, give up for the day, never want to come back to it, and eventually come back and get through the hard part, only to hit another snag a bit later on. Yeesh. I liked the concept and the gameplay; casting spells was pretty sweet. The story started out strong with the opening cutscene, but kinda fizzled as it progressed with your gameplay. The gun/magic concept is really neat, and makes the game unique, but it was a tad glitchy and lunky to move around. The graphics were like, good and bad at the same time. It looked like either a behind-the-times Xbox 360 game or an ahead-of-the-times PS2 game. I feel like if it had any budget whatsoever it could have been an amazing game. But eh, complaining aside, I really did like it and I'm gonna try for the rest of the achievements eventually.

I went to Play and Trade by Devon's house the other day (and today). I bought Cool Borders 2, Dave Mirra Pro BMX, and Tomb Raider for PS1, and Yu-Gi-Oh! Duelist of the Roses for PS2. They didn't have any of the NES games I was looking for unfortunately, but I'm in no rush for those anyway. The PS1 games were for old times' sake; I used to play those games in demos all the time and would love to checklist them all Complete on the Backlog. Especially Tomb Raider, which I can't wait to play. And hnnnng the new one coming out soon. Gonna be sweet.

And I realized I really really want Spyro 1, but keep hesitating to shell out the $15 for it. We'll see.

January 15 2013 - All my flavors are guaranteed to satisfy

Well, I finally got back into the swing of Guitar Hero, and to prove it I finished up Van Halen Bass. Ice Cream Man was a pain in the ass with that outro (and having to wait for the first half of the song doing nothing), but really the scale of difficulty, as expected, was MUCH lower than Smash Hits's. I'm well on my way in Band Hero too, which should be even easier than Van Halen.

And then I still have to start on METALLICA UGHHH.

December 28 2012 - NES Stuff

No, I didn't beat Legacy of the Wizard yet. This is different.

On my walk home from work today, I got to thinking. I sure did have a lot of NES games back in the day. I wonder how many there are in total? Well, I googled it and ended up on the wikipedia page that listed them all. There are 786 officially licensed games, and an undetermined (I think?) number of unofficial ones. I don't know what it is, but after beating The Lion King and getting that Toploader from Devon, I'm really really interested in playing older games. I'd always considered myself fairly well-versed in the oldschool, but really I only ever really played whatever I fell into. I never sought anything out myself.

So I skimmed the big list of games and made a list of things that seem interesting. I've got my eye on about twenty, as well as a few of the unofficial ones. I'm going to search for them and buy them, for both gaming and collection purposes. Some are cheap and common, others somewhat rare. Some are unofficial, and one is even Japanese. But I'm really excited to be getting into this. It just feels so right.

That said, I've also promised myself that I wouldn't get any more games until I've finished Legacy of the Wizard. Because I know what'll happen. I'll buy new games and play them, and keep swearing I'll get back to Legacy, and just ignore it until it eventually goes away. That's no good.

This is the start of a cool new chapter in my Backlog.

December 25 2012 - Christmas!

So as I said, I got a 3DS for Christmas. In addition to Mario, this means I can transfer Pokemon from game to game whenever I want, instead of waiting to be around another DS.

But I actually did just that about a week ago. I went to Erik's house and sat there with his DS transferring anything and everything from Diamond, Platinum, Soul Silver, and Black to Black 2. I also did some breeding/evolving/catching since then, and as of right now, my totals are:

Seen in Unova Dex: 287/300
Seen in National Dex: 537/649
Obtained in National Dex: 406/649

Aside from a bit of breeding/evolving, the only obstacles in meeting the first goal are Oshawott and Rufflet. But I can get both of those from Mike in a few days, so that won't be a problem. Otherwise I have every legendary and starter covered, so it's mostly a matter of evolving/breeding, with maybe a bit more catching here and there. At first I completely ruled out the possibility of completing any Pokedexes, and when I set out to do it at the beginning of Black 2, I was still unsure of just how it'd go. But I'm already pretty close, and in such a short time. It's pretty exciting.

So once I finish up what I need from Bulbasaur in Platinum (and I might transfer him to Silver for this instead), I want to restart Platinum with a new starter. I like to start new games and trade out the traditional starter for something unusual (though still at level 5). So far I've done this with a Kabuto in Leaf Green and a Poliwag in Ruby. I definitely want to do something from the first three generations. Haven't decided yet.

-------------------------------------------------

In other news, I cleaned up my Now Playing section quite a bit to only include games I'm really playing right now. I'm still going to work on the Guitar Hero Full Series Bass FC, but since I'm not actually doing that right now, I took it out of Now Playing. Only things I'm REALLY focusing on are going to stay there for now. As much as it killed me, I even took Houkago Live!! out.

Speaking of Houkago Live!!...well, a few things. One, I was playing it on Chris's PSP since I don't have my own, so I can't play it now. Even if I get a PSP, I'll have to restart. But I recently found that they ported it to PS3 as well. GUESS WHO'S GETTING A PS3? Well, as soon as I can anyway.

And I started playing Legacy of the Wizard, the game Devon got me for NES. It's cool, but looks long and hard. I'm gonna give it my best shot to beat it.
