Wow. I can't believe I actually finished Metroid Other M this month! I didn't think I'd be able to do it this month like I wanted because of all the extra OT and work I put in during this month let alone spending time with my family! (Pro tip : If AT ALL POSSIBLE, bring your console into your bedroom. When the wife/girlfriend drifts asleep (exhausted from all that sex you guys were havin ! but really, married people don't have sex ) whip out that controller and go to town! She won't miss your body heat cause your still in bed plus you can play till the ungodly hours of the morning and not have to worry about the awkward cold body sneak to get back in bed) Anyway, it's allowed me to finish this game in about a week and I'm happy ! I have a quota to fulfill before Cataclysm and it must completed ! Bioshock 2 and Bayonetta are up next. I'm excited for both these games. Bayo for its over-the-top style and sex appeal, Bio2 for it's mystery and wonder. Once done, those will be the last games I play not made by Blizzard for about 4 months. I'll probably play DKC Returns and/or Epic Mickey when my wife gets them for me for Christmas. Other than that it's gonna be All Blizzard, All the Time! Until next time, happy gaming! Cheers

Welcome October It's been a month of madness ( not really ) and I have finished (not completed )StarCraft II campaign and all of the storyline achievements. Now I'm working my through the campaign on brutal, completing a mission a day until I grab both my Hard (I'm only 1 mission away, but it's Utter Darkness )and Brutal Campaign achievement in 1 fell swoop. That will leave 2 achievements for me to get, the 500,000pt shmup one and completing the campaign in 8 hours. The shmup one I'll get eventually one day, but the 8 hour campaign will have to wait till next year or something because after doing this again on brutal, I'm not gonna wanna turn around and play this ALL OVER AGAIN (no matter how good )especially when I have so many other great games to get to, including now with me popping in God of War 3 one rainy night. Oh dear lord This game is so rediculously over the top! I've always loved the gow series and have beaten the previous 2. After I finished the previous ones, I always felt satisfied with my experience, but a little frustrated at some one or 2 parts that were overly difficult or not fun. This game so far has not brought about any of those concerns and I can't believe I waited so long to play this! Well, I can believe it because I've been playing another AAA game in the meantime. It's so nice to know that once you are finished with a great game, you can immediately pick up another one and start playing it right away. As of now, I'm playing GoW3 on my PS3, I'm going to start Bioshock 2 on my PC after that ( I can't play 2 narrative games, even if only slightly narrative, at the same time unless one is also on a portable) which to that I am currently starting DQ9 in hopes that my DS doldrums (Picross 3D notwithstanding )will be alleviated and my foray back into mainstream jrpgs will be not be disappointing. I don't want to spread myself out too thin here with the multi-game play. Fortunately, I try to keep each game in the juggle rotation as different from one another as possible and in separate genres (SCII (PC)=RTS, GoW3(PS3)=Action, S&P2(Wii)=Shmup, DQ9(DS)=jrpg). I want to get to clearing out this year's backlog before it ends. Although I don't forsee many new software in 2011 that's going to distract from finishing my current games (outside 3DS )it will be nice to finish games that I own the same year they were released for once December is my deadline. Blame Blizzard .

Man! Its been 6 weeks since my last check in and much has changed (not really ). StarCraft 2 is teh sex! Of course that is no suprise, but what I am shocked about is that I am having a fantastic time getting all the achievements in the single player campaign (I think I have a little over half of them). I don't plan on completing the campaign till I catch em' all but I'm having a blast doing it. I picked Metroid: Other M and I really like it. I have admit that the intro to the space station that the majority of the game takes place in was a little awkward, the game has quickly fell into its own and I really dig it. In between plays of those games, I'm playing sections of Sin and Punishment 2. That game is soooooo perfect for the pick up and play mentality, the story is nonsense so you don't need to pay attention to it or worry about forgetting key elements between long breaks of actually play and the game mechanics/controls are an absolute blast. On the DS front, i got Kris into Picross 3D and she jumped about 50 puzzles ahead of me so I had to pull back ahead and have been playing a lot regularly over the weekends again (at work ). I'm actually having a bit of an rpg itch that can only be scratched by DQ9, we'll see... The next game on my playlist after I finish the StarCraft 2 single player campaign on my pc is Bioshock 2. I really loved the first game when I played it, what, 3 years ago? Picked this one up for $15 during the steam summer sale and have been secretly pining to get to it as I haven't played a first-person game in almost 8 months so I think my drought should end appropriately with this game Other than that, my PS3 is being used almost exclusively as my netflix player despite having 4 stellar games to play on it (God of War 3, Bayonetta, Demon's Soul, and Valkyrie Chronicles) I guess I don't feel the pressure to complete games quickly like I do from my Wii and PC. The reasoning of course for me is that there aren't any must-have games for the PS3 that I am interested in for the next 12 months. That means I can take my time in getting to those experiences without worrying about a potentially huge backlog piling up in the meantime. Unfortunately, that's not the case for my Wii and even more so for my PC But I'm creating a good balance and so far have been completing every game that strikes my fancy in my collection (new and old) which has made the clearing process smooth :up
