I like (in ~order):
1. Games that have a deep and/or intriguing story. (there's so few that qualify in this category ;_; . (Feel free to suggest some if you found your way in here somehow. And if you know of them.)

2. Fun to play -games. Fun is fun, eh?

2(equally). Games with a "certain" mood. Mostly rpgs for me. Although games of this kind can overlap with tier 1, most of them don't.

2.5. Strategy games. Two and a half because I count strategy games to be some kind of lightweight puzzle rpgs.. or something like that wtvr.

3. Puzzle games. I've liked puzzles for many many years.

To be better organized, I use some additional tags in the comment sections of the games. [Last played: 'date'] is the most frequently used. There could be here and there a [Soon] tag too, which means I plan to start/restart the game in about 1-6 months or so.

PS. Lately I've gotten more into achievements and completing games.. I'm blaming Backloggery.
