Believe it or not, Nanami is one of the more useful characters in a speedrun, due to her high speed growth. Give her a Spark Rune (found in Sindar Ruins) and you'll hardly ever see enemies get a turn after that. Nice party setup! Aside from Killey and Sheena, I also typically bring Viktor-Clive-Luc.

Oh, I made the same crystal mistake myself, in one of my first playthroughs. I was going to do a run in which I made the bad choices anyway, so it didn't hurt too much. My first actual attempted 100% run ended in failure due to that damned recipe bug from happening to me; some enemy drop exclusive recipes have a chance to be unacquirable. Pretty sure it's preventable by simply not giving Hai Yo anything until you have every one of them. It may have been fixed in the PAL release, since most of the worst bugs were.

Oh, it is; the game is considerably shorter if you just fight a few battles there, with how quickly levels shoot up. I think it makes for an early way to do the Futch and Humphrey sidequest, but I'm unsure.

It never does get old, as it's my favorite game ever! (tied with D2) Suikoden II remains, and probably always will be the only RPG I speedrun. I did a complete Clive's Quest run, with the timer being stopped after the final boss at 10:52:59. What's your favorite party? I usually love bringing Sheena and Killey around, with the others being mixed. An all Squirrel party is always fun.

I wonder if you've ever encountered this glitch? [Link] Makes for an early way to be over-leveled and get some of the best shop equipment.

Nice pickups, especially Wild Arms 1 and 2.
