My handhelds and all their games got stolen, and I'm not rebuying them.

So that's the end of that. A definite closing chapter for what was once my greatest passion.
My love for all things Japanese had already ended some time before, and while I will continue to play the occasional PC game, I won't update this site anymore, and I will spend less time on the games themselves as well. University life and all that comes with it has been keeping me busy. I've found other things to live for.

And yet, and still... Something has been lost, and it shall never be found anew. As to whether that's for better or worse, I fear only time will tell.
But no matter what happens, I shall never forget those golden years of childhood: the nights I spent secretly beating bosses; the strange internet corners that I quickly made my own; and, most of all, the people I met and shared this life with - friends that made me laugh and grow and shine so bright...
The taste I'm left with is bittersweet, but one day I will be grateful.
For everything.

Oui! I spent a lot of time lately cleaning up my backlog.

Alright, I think I'm going to add No-Commentary Playthroughs I've watched or am watching to my Backloggery. I'm a good enough gamer to beat pretty much all games on Easy Mode (even Touhou! :P), and at the least I'll be able to talk about the game's story and all, which is enough to provide me with an excuse to stealthily improve my Backloggery score. <3

Sigh, thanks for your sympathy T_T The only thing that would let me be ok with a late european release would be having in the PAL version all the DLCs already. Although I only care about the extra boss DLCs.

Right now the only real difficulties you will meet are the enemies in chests, but it tends to be fairly easy right now. The challenge rises a bit after Chapter 2.

Sigh, if I knew how bleak the situation would have become, I would have bought an american 3DS as well. =/ Nevertheless, I think they will all be ported in Europe, it's only a matter of time.
Oh, and don't even get me started on Overclocked, I'm so pissed >__<

I'm not buying much stuff these days, whenever I look at my steam account, I realize I have already enough games to play. I guess I'll just pick up the SMT games when they'll come out (and I would gladly buy Overclocked as well, when they release more copies and fix the bugs)

I think that after the part at the orphanage the story really picks up. At least, that was the point where I started to play it several hours a day.

Damn right I am! :D SMTIV looks insanely amazing. Then of course being evil and smelly europeans we'll have to wait much longer for the game ;( I can't wait. It really reminds me of old school SMTs, for the atmosphere and everything else (plus, Press Turn is back! <3)

Oh, don't worry, from now on the game will always be better and better. The plot will advance a lot and the character will be explored much more. I think you should stick with it. Have you already done the part at the Academy? That's the point from which I couldn't stop playing the game.

The difficulty of the game will pick up a bit from now on. It's never SMT-like, but you may risk death if your equipment isn't good enough or if you have the wrong orbments equipped. As I told you before, try to complete every subquest available and you'll always be fine.

The music very much depends on the atmosphere: for example, SC's soundtrack is much more serious and darker.

Oh, I get it. I'm telling you that because I was very much looking forward to see your progress in the game. :D Anyway, you're at Chapter 2 so this means that the plot will move on a lot from now on. How are you liking the game?

Yeah, I think that you may choose the normal difficulty or the harder one.
You can still enjoy a great deal from the game: just remember to talk to people, explore as much as you can and read everything.

Yeah, TitS's difficulty is average. Just try to be always prepared and not underlevelled and you'll be fine. Try to fight every optional battle so you can have advanced equipment and magic, and nothing will stop you. There's a very difficult battle towards the end of the game (winning that battle is not mandatory, but you'll get some extra BPs if you do), I wonder if you'll win it.

Anyway, the fact that the translator aren't posting anything is good news: the translation is going on smoothly. They'll probably announce it after they bring the first Trails on Steam.

You basically can replay the game with an harder difficulty setting called Nightmare. Enemies will be much stronger.
Yes, you may do that: that's what I did myself, after all ^^ You will miss a couple of things along the way but you'll still be able to enjoy the game. If you're a completitionist though I suggest you to use the walkthrough.
The game is rather easy during the first hours, however as you progress it will become much more challenging. It never becomes smt-hard, though The bosses in the last dungeon, though, are actually not that easy.
