There are several places I check daily for free shit, but if it's not something that interests me, I never claim it, because to me, that's just digital clutter. If there's a game that I'm not familiar with, I'll look into it before completely dismissing it, and if I'm still not sure, then I will claim it to try it out. The only real exception is that I've downloaded the entire Humble Trove, because it was just easier; it's free to sign up for right now, so long as you cancel before August 28th, so I did that, and have been playing about a half a dozen new games each week to whittle down my potential future backlog. I did enjoy Edith Finch a lot more than I'd thought I would (I always get it mixed up with Dear Esther, which was overblown "art" ), but I didn't like Subnautica. I think that in the case of Subnautica, it's because I had one hell of a time navigating; I'd dive down, find something neat, run out of air, go back to the surface, and then be COMPLETELY unable to find the thing again, despite diving right down to what I thought was the same place.
