++Major updates pending until I get some time...++
Regarding Star Ratings:
While most users use them to rate the quality of their games, I'm using them to denote the condition or "completeness" of the game. For example:
Five Stars = Purchased new; complete; no significant blemishes
Four Stars = Purchased new or used; has some blemishes, such as cracked case or ripped box
Three Stars = Purchased new or used; missing minor items such as plastic bag or registration card
Two Stars = Used or rented; missing major items such as manual or case
One Star = Used or rented; disc or cartridge only
Regarding Multiple Entries:
I will only list multiple versions of the same game if I've actually played more than one different version. For example, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64) has multiple versions with changes to the game, such as the music in the Fire Temple or the design on the Mirror Shield.
Regarding Game Demos:
I've included game demos in my listing until I can figure out a better system to keep track of them. They will always remain
, since they shouldn't have an affect on my
stats. As I play the full versions of these games however, I will remove the demo status from their titles.
Regarding Japanese Games:
Most Japanese games are titled differently and use Japanese script. If the game has not been released in English, I try my best to translate the title to make sense while retaining the Japanese meaning. Otherwise, I use the English title. Also, I always try to include Japanese script under the "online info" section, until I can think of a better place to put it.
Regarding
:
Games are marked
when I've reached the credits screen, or in cases of some older games, the point at which the game repeats itself. Games are marked
when all modes, characters, endings, etc., are unlocked or completed. A
is only for when I go above and beyond in a game (such as maxing out a hi-score counter, maxing all stats/gold/experience points in an RPG, or doing something like finishing Super Mario Bros. without getting a single coin). Some games don't allow for these kinds of challenges, and in those instances, a
or
will be used when I complete the game as much as is possible.
