Yeah, managing one's time and relationship with gaming can be tough. It's in the nature of how long games take to play. I'm playing through Persona 4 right now. It takes an average of 70+ hours to beat. If my hobby was watching movies instead, I could see over 30 different films in that amount of time! That alone sounds more productive, since I'd be experiencing many more titles in the medium over the same amount of time. More efficient media consumption.

Games are fun, but they can be notorious timesinks. If you're taking time away from gaming to make yourself a more developed person, I'd say you're on the right track . I'm doing some of that too, spending some time studying a new language with my free time instead of gaming. Except I'm learning it in a mobile game...
