Well I've started my amazing quest with my buddy Spanky, and this game is just hilarious! My copy also came with the manual and that on its own is a treasure trove of funny lines and backstory.

I shall overcome all obstacles with the power of sports equipment, a variety of hats that bestow fantastic power to Spanky, and my quick reflexes! The fruit that was in my knapsack that the Evil Witch turned into my enemies stand no chance against me.

I was just glancing at random Backloggery pages and stumbled onto yours. I'm shocked there aren't more Okami themes around here, given its enduring popularity and inherent beauty.

I saw your note on Okamiden and it reminds me why I haven't gotten around to playing it yet, despite ranking Okami right up there near the top of my favorite games list. I always hoped for a sequel that could recapture the lightning in a bottle of the original, but I suppose we kinda got "sequels" in that Acts 2 and 3 in the original felt like unexpected bonus content after all the buildup to the conclusion of Act 1. Plus, I doubt I'd trust anyone to get it right at this point.

Anyway, just wanted to pop in and say I'm a fan of your theme.

Almost 11 years of Backlogging that started around 180 and then taking over a week to beat Mike Tyson. It has been a long time coming, but I will enjoy this moment for all of time!

Hahaha oh no that means it's been spelled wrong for the last like 8 years!!

Aside from some hiccups in trying to get a handle on the game mechanics (how to swing your weapon, fast travel, jumping), I've been enjoying Arena thus far. You can really see the bones of the later Elder Scrolls games being developed in it.

I could do without the monsters in town at night and wild flailing with the mouse to attack, though.
