Dungeon Travelers 2? Probably one of the best dungeon crawlers for the Vita. If you don't mind the tease bait. It's pretty difficult, only because of sudden difficulty spikes. But if you constantly upgrade your gear and keep a good variety build you can beat it with a little determination. I've actually found myself playing way harder dungeon crawlers, so I was a bit relieved once I got to the final boss that it was more of just an endurance run than anything.

However,

The post game dungeons are literal nightmares. Gigantic, tough as nails and full of dirty tricks. I beat the first one but I'm pretty tapped out by the second one.

Not bad at all, but I'm pretty ignorant to the whole censoring and really didn't find the story engaging. As in, I just skipped all the dialog at all times.

Yeah, no doubts on that. I was just browsing the trophy list again on PS4 to see percentages, apparently only 11% of people ever finish the game. I'd have to delve into more statistics to see how meaningful that number is, but with a quick look at my last two plats, they have 35~40% rates on the final boss/chapter trophy.

I'm still thinking about what to write. I did like it, I love the characters and the completely unsubtle references to Twin Peaks. But if I were SWERY, I would gladly have chopped off the last two chapters before the epilogue and ended the game at the semi-last boss fight. The real final boss, and how he fit into the story, was so, so bad. I thought Bob in TP was a bit cheap, but this takes the cake.

I actually have never completed DKC3. But now your thoughts on the ending is making me curious...

And yup - Xenoblade 2 will keep you busy. I am right at the 100 hour mark and I could easily stick around and do more of the side content.

Yeah...
Honestly this collection should have been on Switch with online. That would’ve been some good fun. Fortune Street on Wii proves that the formula works through the internet.

The more I practiced with Titan Hard the better I got with the mechanics and ultimately I don't see Extreme really being an issue.. I'd be more concerned about my fellow healer doing their job at this point, lol. Then again I've learned to pick up the slack when my secondary healer doesn't do too hot/accidentally dies. Anywho, thanks for the tips! Gonna push my group to do Extreme today once we're all online.

I haven't done Odin yet so I'm not sure how hard/easy that's going to be.

Oh I agree completely. It's much more enjoyable when you hear new music as opposed to "this is a dungeon so we're tossing the same BGM into it." I haven't ran anything after Snowcloak but have a few new dungeons unlocked so we'll see if those get tackled soon. I've mostly been working my way through the Primal fights and recently I did Garuda Extreme.. Oh boy.

Garuda Extreme should not have been as difficult as it was for my small group (3 people). We've had pretty good experiences just queing into duty finder for dungeons and Primal fights so we did the same for Garuda. Everything was pretty okay but I'm assuming most of the people in the group were new to the fight (including us 3) as we had to wipe a few times before people understood to NOT kill the spiny plume once Garuda spawns her second set of adds. Satin = yes. Spiny = no until she teleports away. We also had the unfortunate issue of our tanks not talking to each other and stating who was going to pull which add and one tank seeming to forget where the adds spawn for the second time.. Needless to say we ended up wiping many times (7+) before we got the fight finished.. But we did it and that's all that matters. When it comes to Primal fights or new dungeons my group likes to watch video guides. It lets us visually see what we're dealing with and it let's me know as a healer, when I may need to AOE heal or keep my tanks topped off. I understand some people don't do this but it really does help.. Even if you don't memorize everything you'll at least recognize when you need to GTFO an AOE.

Any tips for the Titan Extreme fight? I've watched a video guide for it but it seems rather hectic regardless.

Silent Hill 4 is one of those entries into the series that was.. well.. Not terrible but not amazing either? The apartment gives you a somewhat claustrophobic feel until you go to each new area and it can be compacted by the fact that a heavily haunted apartment is not fun to deal with. Nothing like coming back to your apartment and something terrible spawned in the bedroom, lol. I enjoy the music for the game and the concept is interesting but I do agree that the story is a little hard to follow.

Glad your turkey day was enjoyable and happy you've got some free time!

P.S
Sorry for that giant wall of text about FFXIV.

Actually, I just purchased a PS4 this past weekend! So yeah, my wallet is screaming.

I intend to eventually get my hands on several of the titles you suggested. I'm just going for the cheaper sale stuff right now. And yes, I will keep my eye on the Playstation Store. Even with my PSTV, the digital marketplace offered a nice selection of titles at a discounted price from experiences of the past, so I will continue to check in every week there!

Looks like you are playing Portal 2! I would highly recommend playing the first game before starting the single-player campaign, or at least looking up a synopsis of the story.

I really enjoyed running Snowcloak, especially the boss fight. Music was lovely and it's all wintery/calming so I figured it fits perfectly for the time of year and the theme I swapped to. :D

Thank you! I really enjoyed ARR but was not excited or happy to drag myself through the billion and one NPC fetch/talk to quests they throw at you before you actually got into Heavensward. Ugh. Glad to finally be progressing and exploring new areas!

Now if only I'd stop getting The Navel (Hard) every single time I do trials roulette we'd be okay. I mean, it's taught me to be BETTER at it.. And certainly helped improve my WHM skill in 8 man parties but lord. Titan must love me or something, haha.

Hope everything is well in your corner of the world!

EDIT:

I see you're playing SH4. How are you enjoying it so far? It's an interesting game.

Oh, Rhythm Heaven is a cute game. I only ever touched it for like 30 minutes, not really my kind of rhythm game, unfortunately.

Makes sense, I'm kind of that way for games that I've decided to see all the way through.
But generally, when I try a game out, I don't really count it as picking it up since I haven't made my decision whether I'll actually play or not until like 2-3 hours in.
By then I'm either already bored of the game or I want to see it through.

Too many games to play to play trudge through boring ass games to be honest.

Ah yes, "The Matrix" was also known as "Wild Wild West" in PAL regions. It was a huge influence to anime as we know it today. Truly a classic.

If you knew anything about japanese history, you'd know that Nioh was the name of a popular hero from an anime called "The Matrix."
