Grandia is good so far, I’ve kinda took a break from it for a bit, I just got a bit busy. Same here I know what you mean, I feel some games take me far longer to complete.

It’s horrible having Covid, I’m glad I don’t have it anymore! Things are going okay thank you, it would have been my dads birthday last week so I bought him a flower vase for his grave and meeting up with the family so that’ll be interesting. How have you been?

Hey, I'm futzing along through peoples' Backloggeries and I happened to see your recent comment on Cynastix's page. I'm rooting for you and hope things pick up soon.

I'm so sorry to hear that about your sister and friend. I hope things are only going to be better for you going forward this year, sending lots of hugs and sunshine your way.

Like I said before people are strange when it comes to someone passing. Sometimes they get mad, or treat others poorly because they feel they shouldn't/should act a certain way. I do get where they're coming from but how you choose to handle things is your choice always.

I considered hacking my PSTV when I got it but I also don't really want to bother with it. It was a gift to me from an ex but it's really only a convenient way to play some Vita games since I never owned a Vita. When Sony started talking about nuking the storefront for PSP/Vita I immediately went on and downloaded my PSX games to the systems so I wouldn't have to worry about it anyway. Happy they're at least porting some of the stuff over to PS4/5 so people can play the titles they purchased. 2DHD would be super neat for Xenogears and a bunch of other games, but then you run into the issue of making the fans of the original unhappy since it looks "different."

FFXIII has been an enjoyable experience if I minus out the growing pains of the combat. I think the game gets a lot of hate for it's combat system (the thing I hear the most about) and the fact the introduction is pretty rough and boring, not to mention Hope being one of the most grating characters for a good chunk of the story does not help and he's in a lot of cutscenes as you know. I'm just happy the story finally grabbed me in and got me invested in it and the characters. Fang is my favorite next to Sazh (Sazh is the saving grace in a lot of ways during some segments due to his humor). The way I like to describe the combat system is like the Gambit system from FFXII -- It's fun but only once you get the hang of it and access to all the fun stuff/party members you want to play with. For me that's Light/Fang/Hope.

Many apologies yet again. It's been one thing after another lately That's horrible with your knee, I hope it's all healed up now. That sucks that you had to miss a week of work for it. Did you have sick leave available? Yes, people are very blasé about it now, but my boss just had it for the third time and now my niece has it and won't be able to visit my Mum for Mother's Day. It's very much still around, but what can you do when people don't care?

I understand. I've feel like I've moved on from the friend I was in a similar situation with, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't still think about her. It definitely seems like the best thing to do, but it's tough.

Me too, especially as there are actually mechs in the game anyway. That's true with Segiri, but it's not quite the same! That was my favourite part as well, it was so awesome when you first get the ability to fly! Hopefully they'll bring them back. How did you find Xenogears? I have it but still haven't gotten to it. Kind of hoping they do a remaster now. Great, I hope you like the Baten Kaitos as much as I do! (Especially if you buy it based on my recommendation!).

I've been sick and my computer needed replacing. I've been saving up for a trip to Japan, but had to use some of the money on my new PC, as it need it for work. A bit of a hit, but I should still be able to do it. I hope you can make your goal, too! I think I've messed up my plans, a few too many good sales. Still going to do my best to make a dent in the backlog. I saw Suicide Squad has been delayed, hopefully it will give them time to make it better. I heard Gotham Knights has improved quite a bit since release due to patches, might be worth it now? Yeah, it's so cool that you've got that and can keep it. I wasn't sure if you could save them, so it's good that you can. I hope Forza turns out well (and it actually comes out this year!). Microsoft is not really having a great run of late. Yes, I wish I didn't have any complaints, but that's unfortunately not the case. I still hope we still get a fourth Bayonetta. I got the prequel as there was a pre-order sale at a shop here, have only played a little but it seems fun, though obviously very different. Have you tried the demo?

People are a mixed bag when it comes to a loved one passing away. In my experience it's also the one time where people will show their true colors -- whether that's good or bad. No one has the right to be mad at you for feeling sad over it, even if someone has a bad relationship with a person they can feel sad over the loss because obviously that was still a part of their life/family. People just fail to realize that not everyone can cry for one day and then pop back up the next feeling brand-new. Anyway, I'm hoping you continue to feel better and people bork off about the being mad thing.

Fingers crossed we get Xenogears on PSN and can enjoy it on a modern console at least. I've got a PSTV but that's another piece of hardware I then have to get out and hook up.

Poo on missing a week of work but yay for it feeling better. Hope you have a good rest of your week!

I get that, mental health can feel like a giant mountain to conquer sometimes. Regardless I hope things are going smoother for you now.

Completely understandable why the portion of the fanbase that adores FFT may feel frustrated or even like FFTA is the inferior entry due to it being so different but it'll always have a special place in my heart. You should definitely sit down and do FF2 soon! I'm really happy I took the time to play the orignial FF titles I hadn't completed yet. I see you're playing Xenogears -- I have that on my PSP via PSN so I'm hoping they add it to the list of classic titles you can play on PS4 in the future.. Since that would be the more optimal way for me to play that game for the first time. Guess I'll play a ROM once I decide to tackle it unless they add it by then.
