Hiya. I own too many games. Generally speaking I'm open to all genres, although I do have my preferences (RPGs chiefly among them). If you think you know of something I might enjoy based on my library, go ahead and recommend it! Generally speaking, if I have a console library listed I almost certainly have ready access to it; the main exceptions atm are arcade stuff (none of which I actually own) and PS3.
2023 goal: Same as usual. Go with the flow, put in the hours, and the rest will come naturally
General, over-time goal: Acquire and
the entire Kirby series (excl. the 2 F2P titles + region-exclusive titles, e.g. Super Star Stacker). 27/31 acquired, 13/31
And now, a few rules/customs I try to adhere to with my backlog!
* All games listed under the main 3DS, Wii U, and Switch categories are physical copies (sub-listings such as substantial DLC for a physical game may be an exception, however).
games will always be rated, and sometimes reviewed (reviews will be found in the notes section for a game). Rating system is a bit further down. As of now there are still a few games I beat before making my account that I need to go back to in order to get a proper feel of them.
* Duplicate versions of games will be nulled if another version of the same game is already
. Remakes/updated ports will be assessed as to whether or not they're the "same" game by my discretion, there's no real hard and fast rule. Even if the same game has been beaten on multiple platforms, the status will always be assigned to either whatever was beaten first or whatever has the highest status (
Top 10 All-Time, no particular order (As of 12/30/2022):
* Xenoblade Chronicles 2
* Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective
* Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights
* Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony
* Enter the Gungeon
* The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening (Switch, DX is great too though)
* The Messenger
* Splatoon 3
* Xenoblade Chronicles 3
* The World Ends With You
Scoring system: In the interest of keeping to my views on art, I don't and won't ever attempt to rate a game on how "objectively" good I think it is. These ratings purely reflect my own personal enjoyment and are mutable as a rule, please consider them as such.
5 stars: Would highly suggest trying, had tons of fun all the way through. A solidly memorable game that I loved.
4 stars: Would suggest trying, a game that was either just solidly enjoyable or felt pretty fun but just short of being exactly my jam. A memorable enough game that I liked.
3 stars: Was either reasonably entertaining, but also had some light-to-moderate elements of dissatisfaction, or was something I had no strong feelings on either way. A game I felt ambivalent about, and therefore one I would not advocate either for or against.
2 stars: Has fun aspects that are clearly outweighed by frustrating ones. A game that is memorable for some of the wrong reasons; could have been more enjoyable to me with some major changes.
1 star: A game where, when I recall it, the first thing I think of is something I dislike.
