N64 ▼
Well, I've stopped collecting N64 games (and now also N-Gage games, of which I had 56, being the total of games releaased for the system). For years I aimed for the perfect collection, consisting of each and every game released, plus any alternative versions be they cut/uncut, different covershots, budget rereleases, special editions and such. I had amassed about 340 games already, including expensive, hard-to-find, and basically unknown stuff, but still I was missing about 100 games, which included more expensive stuff as well as a myriad of Japanese sports games and such, which felt ludicrous to hunt down. I'll probably keep large parts of my collection, since the N64 still holds a very special place in my heart, but I've already gotten rid of all those sports games I would never want to play anyways. All those baseball, basketball, American football, soccer, tennis, golf and wrestling games as well as all (semi-)realistic racing games. It've been truly fun years hunting down bargains and rarities, but I've decided to slim down my collection a lot more towards quality over quantity. A decision that should also see a lot of removals on other consoles such as the N-Gage.
