Hello there stranger! How are you doing?

Thank you for the compliments on my 3DS collection! I’m pretty proud of it, having what I consider to be the best titles for the platform. 🙂 It has been really amazing spending some more quality time with all my 3ds consoles in the last few weeks. Lately, all I do is play Switch games and read a ton of visual novels. 😄

For Professor Layton Vs. Phoenix Wright, you must complete the game first. I believe it’s about
25 hours long… so best to get cracking, if interested.

yeah, it's part management sim, part design sim, and filled with "minigames" that cover every genre of game. it's a great series that I wish we'd get another one of. getting it for free is a good deal for sure.

Can you believe we live in a time where something like Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure can get a rerelease? I remember seeing that on X-Play in a segment showing off terrifying singing in video games, from Lunar 1 PSX to that one coloring monster raising game on PS2 to... you guessed it, Rhapsody. To it's credit, a used copy is pretty pricy, but I can't help but wonder how the songs would hold up, unless it has that postmodern way of thinking "it's so full of '90s cheese, I love it! So bad it's good!" Either way, it's still weird seeing it rereleased.

Essentially, Overwatch 2 is coming out and the servers for the original Overwatch are being rolled into the new game. It's not known if the original trophy list will still work but based on what's been said, it's likely for all to be unobtainable.

My dude. I hate it.

At first it was kind of nice. Like a little routine that takes a couple minutes every few hours. I have several 3DSes, so I put it on one of my less used ones and would deal with it. I figured, hey, this'll take two-three weeks or so.

I'm over a month in and now I've tied up yet another 3DS. I just want it to be over. I want to play other games, but I'm afraid to mess with the dumb clock system in the 3DS and don't want to remove the games from it for fear of screwing up the whole process.

I dunno what the good folks at Game Freak were thinking with this whole Honey Tree thing. Unbelievably obtuse and frustrating.

Single player Nintendo Land has been interesting...

I have only played Legend of Zelda - Battle Quest, which is shockingly hard if you are using the tablet. You are an archer, so waves of enemies come after you and can easily overwhelm you. Also, you can play only for a few short hours as the tablet's battery life is drained rather quickly. If you have a Wii Motion Plus controller, you can play as the Swordsman, so maybe that is easier.

It's my first WiiU game, so I figured it would be appropriate to try it out. I think I picked it up for less than $20, so that is a plus!

***EDIT*** On second thought, nope, I'm done. It is insane the amount of stuff I would need to do to get credits, so I am good.

But, you were so close to beating your Backlog!

I will be taking some time off to enjoy my quiet Backlog to replay some classics.
But, trust me, in the coming Months, I will be buying many new games to play.
This is just temporary!

Fuga is a wonderful game On my third playthrough now. If you haven't played Solatorobo yet, I would honestly play Fuga first since it's the prequel. You may be able to pick up on some things playing Solatorobo second. Both are great games. Also, thanks for the multitap add

Nyaught gonna lie, I almost read that as Festerquest instead of Pesterquest.

Honestly, I was really debating putting Phantasy Star IV at the top. I was thinking about it for the last couple of weeks and I thought Phantasy Star IV would have won. But, I then reread the reviews and thought hard about each game and I just enjoyed Xenosaga 3 more. Price notwithstanding!

And don't give up on Retro just yet! Prices are starting to fall just a little, not too reasonable territory, but at least they are no longer climbing. Just be more pickier with your purchases and decide what games you really want. After I beat my Backlog later this year, I'm going on a Retro Buying Shopping Spree, so I'm hoping not to destroy my savings too much!

Nice! I bet the GOG version will be great, the only downside of the PS2 version is some pretty choppy framerate stuff

Racket Knight? XBLA? Is that still open? I thought the 360 store would've been closed. Man we need a Konami Digital Collection with Rocket Knight, Hard Corps Uprising, and the ReBirth james. They've shown with their recent Advance Collection that they still got what it takes to please their consumers... so as long as they make available their archival software. In due time, maybe it'll be Goemon and Parodius' turn.

You don't really need to go back and play all the extra stuff from the original. The game does recognize if you do but if you don't then it just has a choice by default. And if I recall, Dragon Age II isn't quite as long as the original or Inquisition. They're all worth playing though.

Nice pickups there. Hope you have a lot of time to devote to Dragon Age: Inqusition though!
